Chapter 19
It was weird waking up to see the Eiffel Tower. We got dressed, dropped Lucky off at a pet spa and waited in the lobby for the others.
"Hey guys" Mason greeted us. "Where do we have breakfast?"
"I don't know we're waiting for everyone else." I explained.
"We're in Paris!" Riley yelled skipping through the lobby pulling Kevin behind her.
"You've said that like a million times!" Ashley walked behind them with Chris.
"Bonjour!" Emma greeted us in french.
"Ca... Cava... is that it?" Rob attempted to say.
"Mon mere!" Mason tried to be clever.
"Gran's just coming with Kalista." Mum said with Travis holding her hand.
"Where are my grandchildren?"
"Granny!" I hugged her.
"Hi sweetie. Mason, love, you remember Kalista?" Gran sounded weird - I didn't like it.
"Mason. Long time." Kalista was stood behind gran. She was really pretty.
"Sure is. We've got a lot to catch up on." Mason went to shake her hand as she went to hug him.
"Oh, dear." I muttered but Austin heard me.
"Jealous?"
"No," I said a little high, "it's just... just... okay... fine, she's just really pretty!"
"So are you. You don't have to be jealous and beauty is on the inside," Austin whispered, "you can't spell beautiful without 'be' 'u'."
"Oh shut up."
After seeing captivating sights of Paris in the two days, it was New Year's Eve. Getting dressed I put on my navy long sleeved dress that had buttons in two lines until it reached the waist. I added my tights and whit ankle boots. I put on my make-up, took my bag and went to meet the others for breakfast.
"Ew, snails!" Riley squirmed to Kevin.
"That's what the french eat." Kevin said grabbing a plate.
"Who drinks from a bowl?" Ashley said confused.
"The french?" Emma laughed.
"It's Thursday so we're experiencing french food." Chris pointed out.
"I think I'll have toast only." Rob took a plate as well.
"We'll be spending today in the hotel." Gran said joining us.
"There's plenty to do! The spa, the games room, the indoor pool, the gym..." mum babbled on, "... the gardens-"
"The gardens?" I became intrigued because it reminded me of our garden.
"Yeah, they're quite nice. You'll like them."Travis explained, "Austin, want to play some footie later?"
"Yeah. Are you guys playing?" he asked the boys.
"Duh, footie!" they answered with their plate full of various food.
"Where's Mason, can he play too?" Kalista joined in out of no-where.
"He's always slow." I laughed.
"Kalista, would you mind taking my plate to the table, I'm going to see where my son and grandchildren are?" Gran just handed her the plate.
She was having a hard time balancing both plates and was about to drop them.
