We can view the world through a small hole. And we can change what we don't like about the world with just a little determination.
It was actually those trivial things that we neglected that ended up making the whole difference. It's those little drops of water that makes a mighty ocean. It's just a single tree that eventually turned to a forest of many other trees.
Too trivial but too significant.
It was indeed a great relief when the bell sounded and the night prep came to an abrupt end. It was a rush for everyone as we all swam through the sea of bodies before getting into the hostel.
It was the worst today. If we had thought other weekdays to be stressful then today was totally out of this entire world.
The prefects had summoned everyone out of their individual classes immediately the clock struck four in the evening. And guess what? It was practice for the upcoming inter house sports.
Everyone exclusion none, participated in one activity or another. It was either you volunteered to march, cheerlead or be a clown for your house.
The sporting activity ended a few minutes past seven out of compulsion to eat dinner. If not, we would keep marching until eight when we would be forced to enter our classes and observe our night prep.
Tonight was just something else. Almost everyone slept during the night prep. And even the prep prefects assigned to each classes failed to perform today. I was amongst the gregarious sleepers who got awakened by the deafening sound of the bell.
There was nothing as wonderful as being back to our individual rooms again. I smiled tiredly as I looked at the alluring, inviting bed of mine.
It was seducing me to slump on it and speed off in the adventure truck. But I knew otherwise.
I had my Chemistry assignment to do. It was from the past questions and though I could easily ignore the workload, I didn't.
It was more out of a compulsion than a ritual. If I didn't do my assignment then eighty percent of all the science students in my class wouldn't do theirs as there is nothing to copy from. And then when we would get a mass punishment, I would get all the blames.
I was going to wash my face with water so as to reduce the rate of dizziness but all yielded to no avail.
I brought out my Chemistry note and past question from my backpack as I simultaneously yawned. I began scribbling the answers on my note and before I knew it, I was held firm by the tight hands of slumber.

The fanfare of birds announced a new dawn. They waltzed gracefully through the air as they sang melodiously.
I woke up suddenly with a start. At first, I was shielding my eyes from temporal blindness as the sun glistened and penetrated through the square of the Formica windows.
