HELLO HELLO. JUST SAYIN' HELLO. 8D

________________________________________________________________________________

After I arrived at my house, I flung myself onto my frilly bed and dialed my best friend, Ashley. She was my healer for awkward circumstances. She knew what to say and when to say it, although she didn't come with muzzle when she needed one.

After what seemed like hours, she climbed into my window. I stared at her for a second and looked from her to the open window.

"It's called a door," I teased, squirming around on my bed.

"No, it's called a window," My friend, Ashley, teased back, grinning.

"Yeah, but-" I started to say but she stopped me, completely disregarding everything I said.

"April," Ashley calmly said to me. "This is sick."

"Yeah, it is. I mean when are we ever going to use matrices in real life?" I sighed, pulling out my math textbook from under my bed. Ashley stared at me while I tossed it on my bed. "What?"

"Why was it under your bed?" She asked, crossing her arms.

"I get angry easily," I said, laughing uncomfortably.

"Right," She lied, rolling her eyes. "I was talking about Ally by the way. Your sworn enemy."

"I don't want to talk about it!" I exclaimed.

"She's going to kill you. I can see her plotting your funeral right now!" She smiled evilly. I knew she was right - I thought about her plotting my funeral several times during the movie. The sad part was, it's realistic.

"Let's not go crazy here," I mumbled. Ashley got fired up easily whenever we talked about Ally, but we tried our best from not calling her names.

"How about we plan her funeral for a change, huh?" She asked, and it wasn't actually a bad idea. Although it was completely out of the question, I thought about it for a few seconds. "Why not?"

"For Jared," I sighed, a lump in my throat. She looked at me sadly but then nodded.

"You're right," She said simply, sitting next to me on my bed. "But, April. I feel so bad for you. I know you like him but you need to let it go."

"I know," I sighed, trying to look at her confidently. "But, it's harmless."

"You're off your peanut, April," She said, angrily pointing a finger at me. She continually ranted on and on about my love life before I stopped her mid-sentence.

"Ashley. I called you over to talk about our project! Not about my messed up love life!" I said, a bit frustrated.

"So you admit you have a messed up love life?" She asked, completely missing the point.

"Yeah, okay. Maybe I do but I think my math grade is a bit more important!" I said, raising my voice and making strange hand gestures.

"April. I'm going to say this as delicately as I can," She whispered, then added, "You are insane!"

"Ashley, I don't want to talk about it," I mumbled sadly.

Ashley stared at me for a moment when she jumped from my bed, snapping her fingers vigorously.

"I got it!" She exclaimed, leading me out my open bedroom window. She jumped firmly on the roof and slowly dropped down onto the wet grass. I stared at her, horrified. "Come on! I'll catch you!"

I laughed hysterically at her for a moment until realizing she was serious. "What, you're serious?"

"Yes! Come on! I'll catch you!" She said, holding her arms out for me. I rolled my eyes and flung myself into her arms. Not surprisingly, I landed on her as she fell to the ground.
