Chapter 4

Joe and i arrived at the flat soon after the incident with Sam happened, Joe had apologised some more but i told him it was nothing. "Thanks for taking me out today, Joe. It was fun." I said "No problem, i had fun too" He smiled.

We entered the apartment and we sat on the couch. We sat side by side and Joe had his arm around my shoulders. We decided to watch "Elf." It was my favourite Christmas movie of all time, i mean who doesn't love elves eating chewing gum found on the streets of New York?

The movie was nearly finished when Zoe and Alfie walked in, Alfie was looking at his phone so he didn't see us cuddling but Zoe saw us. She had a look that said "Move it or you're in trouble!" Joe quickly lifted his arm and i scooted over to the other side of the couch, just in time to as Alfie looked up and said "Hey guys" We both waved. "Are you guys ready for the get together?" Zoe said, eager. "What get together? I thought you cancelled it last week when Alfie got the flu?" Joe asked. "Well were having it tonight! We're going to a club, so get ready!" She said jumping up and down with excitement.

15 minutes later i was dressed in a black dress (Just a little higher than my knees) and black heels. My hair was straightened at left hanging down below my shoulders, my makeup was pretty basic with mascara, concealer and dark red lipstick. I grabbed my black leather purse and walked into the lounge room. Joe was standing in the middle on his phone, wearing black skinny jeans and a tight fitting white shirt. He looked up from his phone and grinned, he was checking me out. "Did you want to take another picture?" I asked him, "Nah, someone will think I'm a stalker." He said smirking.

"Ohh you look nice Amanda" Zoe said. She was wearing a pink sleeveless dress and matching heels. "You look nice to, Zo" I smiled. "Ok let's go guys, or we are gonna be late" Alfie said, walking into the room.

We arrived at the club and walked in, Zoe lead us to a table with 3 people already sitting there. We sat down and stared talking, "Hey Zo, Alfie, Joe. Who's this?" A blonde boy asked. "I'm Amanda, I'm a family friend of Alfies.Im staying with him for a bit" I said and smiled. "Well I'm Caspar, This is Marcus and this is Niomi, Marcuse's girlfriend" I smiled and they all said 'Hi'.

Everyone had a drink, except me -I don't drink-. Joe and i were dancing on the dance floor. "Why don't you have a drink?" Joe asked me. "I dunno, i just don't drink" I replied and smiled. "Ohh ok" He said as we continued dancing. It was a really fun night so far, there were always people laughing. When we went home -i drove- it was 2pm.

"Ok I'm going to go to bed" I said, exhausted. "Ok night, were of to bed too" Zoe said. "Ok, goodnight" I said and went to my room. I got changed into some pyjamas and snuggled into bed.

I woke up in the middle of the night, i think it was around 3? I started to panic as i realized i couldn't move, i was frozen, i was paralysed. 'Sleep Paralysis, i thought it stopped!' Ever since i could remember i had suffered from Sleep Paralysis. Sleep Paralysis is when someone wakes up in the middle of the night, paralysed, unable to move. If you were lucky that is the only thing that would happen to you. I'm not lucky. I start to hallucinate and see scary creatures. Every time i wake up i see a black figure, human like with no facial features. Sometimes that is the only thing i see but sometimes i see more things. Onetime when i was younger i saw a skeleton, it grabbed me with its bony hands and actually felt the chills, i blinked and it was gone. I was in tears and my mum came in wanting to see what happened.

This time, the figure was in my room but i wasn't scared of him, not that much anyway. This time i saw a person, Joe. This is the first time i have ever seen a person in one of hallucinations and i didn't know what to expect. Joe started to walk towards me, he started to limp. Slowly he started bleeding from his mouth, he grabbed my foot and said "Amanda, help me. Help me." In my head i knew it wasn't real but there was something else saying that it is real, i started to panic and i started calling for him in my head "Joe! Joe! Joe!" I started crying. I blinked and he was gone, but the real him ran into my room and turned the light on, "Amanda? What happened?" He held me as i cried. "I thought it was real, i thought you were going to die" I cried into his shirt. "It's ok I'm here now, I'm not dying" He said. We sat like that for age, him hugging me. He got up but i grabbed his hand "Please don't leave Joe" He nodded and got back into the bed, i cuddled up with him and soon feel asleep.

Joes PoV

I was lying in bed next to Amanda, she was pretty scared when i first came in here she was crying, at first she wasn't moving but then she started to move again. She said she thought i was going to die. She must have had a crazy dream, but then again, when i walked into her room her eyes were open and terrified. I will have to ask her tomorrow.

Wow! I think this is one of my well written chapters, what do you all think? So umm about sleep paralysis... I have suffered from Sleep Paralysis since I was 2. I have seen the 'black figure,' every time. It is true and nobody knows the cause of them, or how to stop them. If you do suffer from these let me know.
