“Amanda, you ready yet?” Joe called from the bedroom that we shared with Caspar. “Nearly!” I shouted back. Joe, Caspar and I were going to the pool, we were going to meet Alfie and Zoe. I got dressed into my black bikini and let my hair fall loosely onto my shoulders. I walked into the bedroom to see Joe and Caspar vlogging each other pulling weird faces. I grabbed my plush white towel and started walking towards the door while saying “You guys coming or you staying here?” Casper rushed out the door followed by Joe. I locked the door and started my way down the door but was stopped by Joe, he had a huge grin plastered on his face. “What are you planni-“I started, but was soon stopped as Joe picked me up bridal style (He he, that rhymes in my head). He started running down the hall and out into the pool area. He stopped at the very deep end of the pool, hanging me over the water. “Joe… Don’t. You. Dare.” He just grinned as he dropped me into the water.
He jumped in after I had hit the water and started to splash me. I started to splash him back but he started swimming away, “Come get me!” he called. I swam after him. I reached him and clung onto his back. He ran out of the pool and started running around the pool area. “Joe! What the hell have you been drinking?” Zoe shouted, as she sat on the lounge chair.
About 15 minutes later of running Joe plonked me onto a chair next to Zoe. He fell onto the grass with his chest heaving. Zoe, Alfie, Caspar and I started laughing at how tired he was. I got up from my chair and went to the drink bar. “Can I please have a cup of ice?” I asked. “Uhh, sure?” The lady at the counter said, looking at me weirdly. “Thanks” I said as she handed me the cup. I walked back to our group and kneeled by Joe who was still panting on the ground, eyes closed. I quickly poured the ice on his bare chest a jumped behind Caspar’s chair. Joe’s eyes flashed open “It’s so cold!!” He wailed. “That’s the point, doofus” I said.
The boys ended up going for a swim while Zoe and I sun bathed, well she did, I read a book.
~Later that day~
I was in the bathroom getting ready for a formal dinner with a bunch of YouTubers as it turns out there is a large group in Florida at the moment. I had on a short form fitting dress that was just higher than my knees. It was a light turquoise colour and I also wore white heels. I had my hair straightened and left out to flow freely along my back. For my makeup I wore concealer, blush, eye shadow and lipstick. I walked out of the bathroom to see Joe in a white formal dress shirt and black jeans, so gorgeous. I realized I was staring at him when he looked up, grinning like a mad man. “You like?” He said. “Hmm, yea” I said, winking. Caspar walked out of the bathroom, “Ohh, you two! Let’s go before Zoe and Alfie calls asking where we are” he chuckled.
We walked out of the hotel to find Zoe and Alfie hailing a cab. “Hey guys” Zoe said, getting in the taxi. It was a taxi van so we could all fit in. Alfie, Zoe and Caspar where in the middle row while Joe and I sat in the very back, the seat next to the driver remained empty. While on our way to the restaurant Joe leaned over and whispered “You look nice” i smiled and whispered back “So do you.”
We arrived at a fancy restaurant with a bunch of YouTubers waiting outside. There was Joey Graceffa, Connor Franta, O2L, Sawyer Hartman, Tyler Oakley, and Troye Sivan who is visiting from Australia. We got out the taxi and started talking. I walked up to Troye Sivan “Hi, I’m Amanda. It’s nice to meet you” I said. “Hey, I’m Troye. I’m guessing you’re from Australia?” He smiled. “Yea, Queensland. I love your music and acting. The Spud movies are definitely my favourite series” I said enthusiastically. We chatted some more and took a selfie together and then I went to meet some more people. By the time we went to get seated I had meet everyone and took a selfie with them. We finally got a seat and I sat between Joe and Joey, across from Connor and Ricky. “Hello, I’m Marie. I will be your server tonight. What drinks would you like to drink?” I ordered a coke and got it a few minutes later. When we got asked what food we wanted, I didn’t know what most of the food was so I just got a fancy salad.
Dinner was great. Everyone was so talkative and there was never a silent moment. Once finished we all paid and said our goodbyes. I swapped numbers with all of the new people I met and was about to get in the taxi when Joe stopped me. “Let’s go for a walk” He suggested, “Umm ok” I said. We started walking when I noticed Joe look over his shoulder and wink at Zoe. Their taxi drove off as we walked to a nearby park.
Joe led me to a seat under a tree. We sat down for a while talking about Florida. He then looked at me and I looked at him. “Amanda…” He started, “I’ve had such a fun time with you, you’re an amazing girl and… Will you be my girlfriend?” I simply grinned. “Of course” I said. He cupped my face in his hands and kissed me.
