Have you ever been in a car crash, Woke up in hospital to find your boyfriend is in a coma? Did you then have to wait three weeks to see his eyes again? Only to discover he doesn’t know who you are. I have. I love Joe, I thought that maybe he could love me back. But you can’t love someone you don’t know –at least not in this case.
Joe has been awake for two and a half weeks. When he said ‘Who are you?” at first I was confused, I thought he was playing a joke. He isn’t. Zoe and Alfie walked in and he remembered them instantly, all of his friends came he remembered them. I was the only one he didn’t remember. We’ve broken up now, Joe’s choice. He doesn’t want to date someone he doesn’t know, I don’t blame him.
My mums funeral was two weeks ago, I went to Australia for only five days. It was horrible, the only people that showed up was myself and seven of her friends. They were drunk.
Right now im lying on the couch, staring at the roof. It’s very interesting.
“Hey ‘Manda! Can we talk for a moment?” Zoe asked me as she walked into the lounge room.
“Sure” I said, sitting up. Zoe walks over to the couch and sits across from me.
“Do you still love Joe?” She asks me. The answer is simple.
“Yes.” I Started, “D-Do you think he will ever remember me again?” She hesitated.
“Let’s hope so.”
