Friend or Foe?

"Tinatawag ko si ate Sandra, pero hindi siya sumasagot," ani Melody habang hawak ang kanyang phone. When we came home from school, I immediately explained many things to Melody, except my past.

Pero si Sandra... dapat ay sinisingil na kami nito ng bayad sa apartment pero hindi siya nagpaparamdam sa'min. I rarely see her though.

That's strange.

"Puntahan kaya natin?" suhestyon niya pero umiling ako.

"No way. Naaalala mo ba 'yung mga lalaking may white suitcases? Paano kung balikan nila tayo?" tanong ko at tumungo nalang siya saka pinatay ang kanyang phone.

"Aalis muna ako, Misa. Pupunta ako sa kaklase ko, bukas na kasi siya ililibing," aniya at lumabas sa kwarto.

Oh, poor thing. Sana lang ay walang mangyaring masama sa kanya dahil mukhang kaya niya naman ang sarili niya. She's a Spectre and I have faith in her, somehow.

Tumayo ako mula sa pagkakaupo at tinignan ang sarili ko sa salamin. I shrugged my shoulders when I remembered the flying cap earlier, and the guy with cryokinesis.

That was so chaotic as hell! Thankfully my wounds are treated, thanks to Elena's ability. She used to be the healer of our gang before at muntik na itong mag-quit dahil nagiging 'haggard' na raw siya.

I diverted my gaze on the door when I heard a knock from the outside.

"Come on, Melody. Hindi mo na kailangang kumatok," sabi ko at bumukas naman ang pintuan. I was expecting to see Melody but in my surprise, it was Primo.

"What do you want?" kunot-noo kong tanong sa kanya.

"Woah, easy! Hinatid ko lang naman 'yung kaibigan mo," sabi niya kaya inalis ko ang tingin sa kanya.

He's a gentleman, but I think that is just normal for guys like him.

I raised my brow. "So?" tanong ko ulit at itinuon ang aking pansin sa salamin. I want to distract myself from his annoying presence.

"Sabi sa akin ni Elena ipapalipat ka raw niya ng section," casual niyang sabi at parang nabingi ako sa sinabi niya.

Bakit ba naisipan pa nila na pagtripan ang section ko?

"Magiging kaklase mo na kaming dalawa," he continued that made my brows furrowed in confusion.

I can't take anymore chaotic happenings, but I guess I should stick with them for the meantime. Everyone's attention is darted on me, like I am a hot topic. Tumango nalang ako at hindi na nag-abala pang sumagot. It suddenly became so quiet so I looked at him again, waiting for him to say something.

He coughed and brought up a topic that immediately sparked my interest.

"I already have a clue about the multiple student murder cases."

Well, he really knows how to get my attention.

"Say it," sambit ko at umupo sa dulo ng higaan. Kinuha ko ang aking phone at naghanap ng mga balita tungkol sa mga pagpatay. He remained standing while blabbering a lot of information to me.

"The ones who started the killings are a terrorist organization. Initials lang ang sinabi ng source ko, and it was N.S.''

N.S? I tried searching about terrorist organizations near the town on my phone, but there are no results just like what I've expected.

They might've threatened, or unfortunately, killed the journalists who attempted to publish articles related to them. The news doesn't even disclose things about them and the killings are disguised as murder.
