All ethics had been lost to the lumps of his greed,
When he, the one who once shared common the common disbelief;
Spared but not even the little one,
Whom he had raised not with little sum.
He, the Human held tyranny at hand,
His sully deeds, not too confounding to understand;
He craved for more of everything, day in & day out,
Gaia, herself remained dismal over her perpetual drought;
Each killing pushed him further towards the darker abyss,
Through a path lit Erebus, how ironic it is.
When pride kept him from doubting his undisputed record,
Not love could have an effect but vain effort;
Compassion had lost all sense,
His unlawful reign, he thought had no end.
Water of endurance had been edged to the periphery of her goblet,
For eons & eons, her exploited children had remained haunted;
With consideration of no relation, she let the process commence,
Dawning extinction through quiet demolition, for the outcome was now immense;
Eventually her children at peace, but not her, the Mother of All,
With one of her own no more, he, the Human is now long gone.

PoetryWrote this poem about an year ago. Felt like it would relate now more than ever given the pandemic situations world wide. Tried to portray a worst case scenario as a result of human ignorance. Hope we always find a way out of hard times like these.
