Eric POV

Day Before First Day of School

I'm walking in the park near my house when I bump into somebody.

"Hey Tris." I awkwardly say. Things have been awkward between us since last summer when we found out we were cousins. It was awkward because the summer before we were a thing. We broke up like a week after summer ended so its not like we had enough time to forget that when our parents told us. Even worse my sister, Steph and I are staying at her house this school year with the exception of holidays because my mom is traveling to Africa to help with the Ebola paitients. 

"Hey." She says. Then she adds "Why are we so awkward. It was a four week thing! We should get over it." She says laughing a bit at the end. I join her laughing. Okay maybe spending a year with her won't be that bad.

Tobias POV

A Week After Christmas

 I walk to Tris' house. I'm going to tell her my real name today. I knock on the door and their's shuffling then her brother Caleb opens the door with Tris behind him. I can breifly see someone walking down the stairs but I can't see them very clearly. Then someone comes running down the steps. How many people live here? The person that ran down the steps shoves Caleb out of the way and looks at me for a few seconds. She turns around to face Tris.

"So this is the hot boyfriend you won't stop talking about? Eh? What's he doin here?" She asks.

"Go away." Tris says. Then all of a sudden Eric- wait Eric?- walks past us and shoves the girl aside to make room for himself. 

"Stop hogging the doorway geeze." he says. What dafuq is he doing here?

"He's my cousin.This is his little sister. Come on in."
