Melody's POV

"Are you nervous?" Nat asked as my sister's finished getting me ready.

"That is a very difficult question to answer," I chuckled. "I'm not nervous to marry Steve. I am nervous I'm going to screw up somewhere."

"You'll be fine, Mel," Adrian said. I loved my little sister, but sometimes, I just wanted to smack her.

"Yes, Adi, that's just what I wanted to hear. You're soooo helpful," I rolled my eyes and Natasha laughed.

"She's right. You will be just fine."

"Nat, not only is this Captain America's wedding, this is a royal wedding. But, it's a step up from that. This is a Crown Princess's wedding. It's a super big deal and I got anxiety," I explained.

"It will be fine, Melody. Breath. Just relax, you know it's going to be perfect," Harmony said, using her healing magic on me.

'It's not fair when you do this," I told her and she smiled softly. "I'm going to pull the same shit when you get married."

"Well I'm not getting married today."

"Come on, it's time to line up," Wanda said, leading me to my place. Wanda, Natasha, and Adrian were my bridesmaids in blue minidresses. They found their respective groomsmen. Adrian lined up with Sam, Nat with Clint and Wanda with Tony.

"Damn, girl. You clean up nice," Sam said as he saw me.

"You really think so?" I asked.

"He's right, kid. You look good," Tony agreed.

"You guys..."

Steve's POV

"Steve calm down. She's going to walk down the aisle any minute and you are going to look like a nervous wreck," Buck told me. He wasn't wrong, but I was so nervous. After almost three years since meeting her, I was finally marrying Melody and I was so nervous. What if she left me at the aisle.

"Sorry, Buck. It's just that she's a Crown Princess and she's perfect and I'm that scrawny kid from Brooklyn."

"Steve, that girl adores you. Relax. She's going to walk down the aisle, you're going to exchange vows, say 'I do' exchange rings, and walk back down the aisle together. It's going to be sickenly sweet, I promise."

"Is it really that simple?"

"Yes. And then you'll have her forever. So relax, would ya?"

"Alright, alright," I chuckled.

"So... are you excited about tonight?" Bucky asked, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Bucky!" I exclaimed, a blush rising to my cheeks. He didn't get a chance to respond, because the music began and our wedding party started down the aisle. And then I saw her. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw her. My bride. The woman I was making my wife. Everyone else saw her too because they gasped at the sight of her. Not that I blamed them; she was breathtaking.

Melody walked down the aisle lightly holding onto her father's arm, looking like a dream. She didn't look anxious or nervous, which didn't help me feel better about my overwhelming emotions.

Finally, she reached the end of the aisle and accepted my hand, leading her up to the altar.

"You look gorgeous," I whispered so only she could hear and she blushed.

"You don't look so bad yourself," She whispered back.

"Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of Crown Princess Melodonna Luna Firestar and Steve Grant Rogers. Do you, Steve, take this woman as your wife?" The officiant began.

"I do."

"And do you, Melodonna, take this man as your husband?"

"I do," She answered, so confident in this decision.

"Then you may recite your vows."

"I, Steve Rogers, take you, Melody Firestar, to be my wife. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love and honor you all the days of my life," I said, feeling a huge weight off my shoulders. I'm going to have her forever.

"I, Melodonna Firestar, take you, Steve Rogers, to be my husband. I promise to be true to you in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health. I will love and honor you all the days of my life. This I pledge by the morning's light," She vowed.

"May I have the rings?" The officiant asked.

"With this ring, I ask you to be mine. With this ring, I wed thee," I said as I slid the silver twisted vine band with a single ruby and amethyst in the center, surrounded by tiny moonstones and diamonds onto her finger.

"With this ring, I ask you to be mine. With this ring, I wed thee," She repeated as she slid the thick silver band on my finger.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." Finally. It only took nearly a century. I took her chin in my hand and pulled her in for a soft kiss. We broke apart and I looked into her eyes; I could feel the raw love and adoration she had for me. I heard our friends and family cheer, but I didn't care, I was so lost in those eyes. I almost didn't notice as the officiant began to speak to the last time.

"The newlyweds are heading out briefly for photos and will rejoin us shortly. After that, they would love to greet each of you at the reception. You can expect drinks and dinner to follow. On behalf of the newlyweds, thank you for coming."

"This is the part where we act like the typical fairytale couple and walk down the aisle together," Melody whispered to me. I smiled and offered her my arm which she accepted and we walked down the aisle as husband and wife. I couldn't believe that I was married to her now. She wasn't Melody Lupine or Melody Firestar anymore. She was Melody Rogers. My wife.

"What are you thinking about?" She asked while we waited for the photographer.

"Oh, just how beautiful it all was. How beautiful you are. And how you have my last name," I smirked and she giggled.

"Only on Earth. Here, you have my last name. Men take the woman's name in Transmonia, love," She said.

"You still have my name on Earth," I replied.

"Yes I do. Today, tomorrow and for the next eternity." And I was perfectly content with that.
