"Which one do you like the best?" I ask while we walk through the shelter.

Jisung stops by a cage and looks at the Burnese Mountain puppy that was wagging its tail and chewing on a toy. He points at it.

"This one." He says.

"Are you sure?" I ask. "They get pretty big."

"That's even better. I want this one." He nods.

"If you're sure, I mean, I guess." I scratch the back of my neck.

He smiles slightly. "Thank you." He squats down and pokes his finger through the cage, making the puppy go wild and bark happily.

"Excuse me, sir?" I ask while a worker walks past us.

"Yes?" He raises an eyebrow.

"We... my husband and I are looking to adopt this one. Who do we talk to?"

"Front desk." He answers.

"Oh, thank you." I smile. "Come on, Honey." I pull him along.

He pouts while trailing behind me. "So cute." He mumbles.

"Your face is so cute." I hold his hand tightly.
-
"Babe, look!" Jisung squeals while holding the little puppy.

"Wow." I nod, putting the new collar on her. "There. Her name is Duri." I pet her head nervously.

"Why are you so jumpy?" He asks.

"I've never had a big dog before."

"She's not big." He smiles. "She's so little." He hooks her leash to the collar and lets her down on the floor of the PetSmart.

"She's gonna get big."

"But she's small still so you can get used to her." He holds the leash out for me.

I take it and watch as she jumps up on my leg, trying to get pet. I smile and squat down to pet her. She licks my hand excitedly.

"Come on, Duri." Jisung says, locking arms with me and skipping along to buy her some new toys and other necessary things.
-
Duri lays on Jisung's lap while he cuddles me, watching a horror movie. She fell asleep a few minutes ago and neither of us dare to move.

Jisung gasps as there's a jump scare. I smile and kiss his cheek. He steals another piece of popcorn, pouting since he was determined to not get scared.

"That was cute." I mumble.

"Huh?"

"Nothing. Watch the movie." I shrug it off.

He nods. We finish the movie, making fun of each other for getting scared. I stretch, my back aching from sitting on the couch for so long.

"Oh, god..." I sigh.

"What's wrong?" Jisung asks worriedly.

"Nothing. Just my back."

"You're old." He giggles.

I look down at him with my eyebrows raised. "Older than you." I hold his face.

He nods, suddenly going silent. "Help." He manages to squeak.

"What? What's the matter?"

"My leg is asleep." He pouts.

I kiss his lips and hug him. I gently pick up Duri and carry her to her bed. She looks up at me and wags her tail.

"Goodnight, Duri." I smile, petting her forehead.

"Hyunjin, my leg." Jisung whines.

"Jisung, my back." I stretch again, attempting to get the pain to leave.

He stands up and limps over to me. We both limp to our room and flop into bed, quickly falling into a deep sleep.
