Forgive me again but the need to indulge in some young Charles fics is great, there's just so few good ones out there for him. I promise I will eventually get your request done, I just got a little stuck. I hope you enjoy!
When you arrived it was pouring, nearly 2am, and you were soaked. Your frantic knocks on the door seemed to echo much louder than you thought they would in the rain. When he finally opened the door you felt bad because he had obviously been sleeping. His hair stuck up at odd angles, his eyelids tried several times to shut.
"Charles Xavier?"
"That is my name, how can I help you?" He paused for a moment. "Oh god, come inside. It's pouring, you're going to get sick." You smiled sheepishly at him. Not exactly the best way to meet someone, you thought.
"You'd be surprised how many wonderful friendships start like this," he said, a wide smile finding it's place on his lips. He stuck his hand out which you took, taking a moment to make eye contact. God, his eyes were beautiful. You hadn't actually taken in his appearance when you came in but you didn't expect him to be this attractive.
"Now that's something they don't think very often." A soft blush crept up your neck and onto your cheeks."A physic I take it?"
That's correct, my dear. You grinned at him.
Well it's good to know that it's not just me then. His eyes widened a fraction at the comment.
"Well, my dear, I'll see you to your room with your bags." You paled a fraction. Bags. Stuff. You didn't bring anything with you, you just ran at the first possibility.
"You did bring something with you right?" You didn't answer. How could you be so stupid as to not bring anything with you? Charles sighed heavily, a hand coming up to rest on your shoulder."I don't have anything."
"Yes, I can see that. Here's what we'll do, I'll put you in one of the bigger rooms and test your powers at a later time. I need people to help with a mission but for tonight, we need to get you some dry clothes." You nodded, following Charles up the stairs. You cringed at the loud sounds your shoes made, squish, squish squish.
"Here's your room, if you need anything mine is the last door in this hallway. The bathroom is connected to your room, take a shower to warm up." He turned ready to walk away before remembering that you were soaking wet."Clothes?"
"Ah yes, clothes. I'll leave some in your room for you."
The clothes left on your bed were big on you but in the way that made them very comfortable. You crawled into bed feeling more relaxed than you had in weeks. With a content sigh you curled up and fell asleep.
Soft light streamed through the curtains when you woke up the next morning. A soft knock on your door made you fully open your eyes to glare.
"May I come in?" You pulled the sheets up over your chest and sat up slightly.
"Charles?" He chuckled as your door clicked open.
"The only other person awake at the moment is Erik. No one else even knows you're here yet."
"Oh. Good point."
"I see those clothes were a good choice. They're not as big on you as Erik's would've been."
"I take it these are yours then?"
"That's correct, my dear. Now, if you're not too tired, I'd like to test your abilities today." A bashful smile crept onto your lips.
