Greed was bored. He wanted to fight. He had returned to The Devil's Nest after his battle with Sloth and had made a few girlfriends. For all he knew Wrath was wandering around Central and Envy was...somewhere. He had heard Envy had gotten rid of Lust.

He handed his empty glass to one of his girls. "More beer, sweets." The girl took the glass, and batted her eyelashes teasingly, flipping her hair as she went up to the bar.

Greed relaxed in his couch. Forget Father and the other homunculi, he could get used to this.

"Ugh. You slut." Greed suddenly heard a voice say.

He sighed. "Envy?"

"That's right." Greed heard his almost bare feet slap against the floor as the long-haired homunculus walked towards him. He opened his eyes to see Envy standing in front of him, glaring at him. "Get your ass up right now, or else I'll hurt one of your possessions."

He heard a girl say drunkly; " I wouldn't mind that."

Greed sighed. "I'm not interested in fighting a little twerp like you. I don't care if Father paired us up, I'd rather fight someone worth fighting. Like Wrath. Not some plant in a miniskirt and crop top. Geez, your fashion choices disgust me."

"I came here on my own. I wanted to get rid of you before Wrath could. Are you scared?" He kicked a girl off of Greed and grabbed him by his vest pulling him off his couch.

Greed scoffed. "No. Just not interested."

Envy kneed him in the crotch. "That was dirty." Greed mused. "Fine then."

They tackled each other, knocking over tables and chairs and alcohol. Envy started to punch Greed in the face and he immediately put on his ultimate shield. "Aw, are you scared. Weakling!" Envy mocked.

Greed shoved Envy off of him and fully enveloped himself in his shield.

Envy smirked. "Wow, so soon? I'm disappointed, I was hoping for a better fight. So if that's how you're going to play it..." Envy transformed himself into a replica of Greed with his ultimate shield. "Let's see how you do against yourself."

Greed growled. He swiped at Envy's chest with his claws but had no effect. Envy ran out of the bar laughing. Greed chased after Envy.

They eventually came out into a large grassy field.

"So-" Greed grunted as he fought with Envy. "What made you change your mind? About this whole ordeal?"

Envy grinned. "So I can prove to you dolts what a real superior being could do."

Greed let his guard down for a split second. "What?" Envy attacked him and speared him through the chest.

"Ahaha, you got me. But that isn't going to be enough!"

Greed jumped away. "Hmph." Envy raised an eyebrow at him. "Something's different. You're holding back."

"Oh am I? Excuse me if I can't hold my liquor."

Envy snorted. "So that's it. You know alcohol does some funny things to a homunculus."

Greed laughed. "Shit. Probably shouldn't have said that."

Envy approached him, a dark smile on his face. "Exactly."
