It had been several years since the event that Father referred to as "The Homunculi Games", the challenge of skills and strength. Now all the homunculi were leading their own lives, working for Father...well except one.

Greed leaned back on his sofa. His henchmen were scattered around him, doing their own thing. "Well boys, and girl." He nodded to the snake girl with the tattoos. "Is there such thing as a life better than being with me?"

"I could think of a better life." The cow dude stirred his drink.

The Devil's Nest certainly hadn't changed. Except that Greed practically lived there. It was his hangout, his place. He had liked the feel of this place all those years ago and had taken it as his, when he walked out of Father's place. He was never going back there. He was free.

"Say, Greed. You've never told us exactly what you are. I mean, we know you can heal yourself and everything but what are you? You're not a chimera like the rest of us." Said the snake girl.

"Yeah, where did you even come from? A lab 5 experiment?" Asked the dog guy.

"He said he was a h-homo-homu-" The lizard guy stuttered.

"Homunculus." Greed corrected. "A homunculus in the form of Greed. An artificial human, in other words. And I am not an experiment. Nosy chimeras..."

And he never wanted to see another homunculus again.

Lust and Gluttony walked through the town of Liore. If you could even call it a town.

"What a dump." Lust said.

"Lust...I'm hungry again."

"But you just ate, Gluttony."

"I know but...I'm hungry."

"You can eat later. For now we have to find that priest Cornello."

Lust suddenly spotted a fat old man. She walked up to him. "Hey hot stuff." She purred.

"Hey lady. What do you want?"

"You're Father Cornello, right? The alchemist and priest?"

"Yes."

"How would you feel about turning things around for you?"

Cornello stared at her. "What do you mean?"

Gluttony giggled as Lust held up a ring with a red stone on it. "The people don't have faith in you. They think you're just a showman. A fool. But if you were able to make things better for them...why, you would be worshipped."

Cornello's eyes widened.

"So," Lust grinned. "Let's talk business."

Sloth muttered to himself as he dug at the nearly frozen earth. He barely scraped away specks of dirt. This was such...such a pain...

Why had Father put him here in the North...? To dig...diggy dig dig...

Digging was his role for Father.

He wanted to take a nap but a jolt in his chains connected to handcuffs, jerked him awake and made him keep going.

Just digging...dig dig diiggg...

Wrath was now Furher King Bradley. He had married that girl he had met several years ago (Father was reluctant about it but he consented to it), and was bringing home an "adopted son" named Selim. Otherwise known as Pride.

"Now Pride, er, Selim." Bradley said to the little boy. "You be good to my wife now okay? She will be absolutely delighted to see you. She is your mother now, so be good. And I am your Father."

"I know how to act." Pride/Selim said. "I am Selim Bradley, and I am six years old, adopted to the Bradley family today. But you know Wrath, I am the one truly in charge here."

"Shut up." Said Bradley before opening the door. "I'm home." He said warmly to his wife, kissing her. "Look what I brought home. His name is Selim."

Mrs. Bradley bent down to Selim. "Hello Selim. I hope we can be great friends. I can already tell you are such a great boy."

"Are you my new mommy?" Selim asked sweetly in a child-like voice. "You're so pretty! Are you a princess?"

"Well no, but thank you. Yes,  I guess you can say I'm your new mommy."

"Yay!" Selim wrapped his arms around Mrs. Bradley. "I wuv you, mommy."

Mrs. Bradley looked up at her husband. "Thank you. I love him so much already. I'll protect him from anything."

The Furher smiled at his wife and son. "We have a great future ahead of us."

Envy, disguised as a military soldier, walked around the city of Ishval. He was supposed to stir up some chaos but it was so peaceful here.

Military officers chatted with the Ishvalens, children ran around playing, it was a disgusting human scene.

That's when a child ran up to him. Envy slipped his hand into his pocket, where his gun lay.

The child was a small Ishvalen girl, with big red eyes, brown skin, and shoulder-length white hair. She wore a dress and carried a toy.

Envy smiled at the girl. The girl seemed to be scared of him for a moment, but then giggled and smiled back.

Envy drew his gun and pointed it at the girl's forehead. He grinned wider, his eyes filling with mischief. The girl's smile dropped and her eyes widened in betrayal and fear.

Envy pulled the trigger, and a loud shot reverberated around the town.
