IN PRO HERO ERASERHEAD, OR AIZAWA'S WHOLE LIFE, HE HAS NEVER FELT SO STUPID AND BLIND. (Y/N) (L/N) was his sister. His beloved, young sister whom he missed so much.
She was right in front of him the whole time.
She was right here.
She was alive.
"(Y/N)... Wait no..." He stuttered, before lowering his arm down. "Yumiko."
But even if she was here, what could he do? Nothing, he couldn't help her, he did nothing in her life.
After all, he didn't manage to save her.
"Now now, it's not a time for a family reunion," You pointed out, rigidly swiping his arm away from you before mumbling under your breath. "Pathetic."
"Yumiko, you don't understand. It wasn't my choice that I wanted to send you of. It was our parents, not me. I—" Aizawa lost his calm composure, becoming absolutely flustered as he flailed his arms. "It wasn't my choice, it—"
"You could have saved me." You emphasised, as you gave him a smile which made him flinch. A smile; yes it was genuine— a genuine smile of unforgiving sins. "But you didn't."
Neither of you spoke, nor said a thing. It was silent, a silent reunion between the two of you. Aizawa didn't know what, or how to apologise to you. After all, you had a point. He left you alone, he abandoned you. You had to survive on your own.
You clicked your own tongue, as Aizawa flinched towards your harshness.
It was what he deserved.
"I'll get back to class now, sensei," You muttered, bowing your head giving a pseudo-smile before vanishing into thin air, leaving the raven haired man standing in the corridors of UA, alone, once more.
'(Y/N), I'm sorry.' Aizawa inwardly sighed, cursing himself as he was lost in thought. What could have he done better? What should've he done? Why, why why? 'I failed you... As a brother.'
"hEEYYY AIZAWAAAA— WATCHU DOING HEREEEEE ?!?!"
"Nothing," He grunted towards Mic's screeching voice, pushing the blonde haired man away. "I've got to get to my class."
As a grown man, he knew that no matter how much he dwelled on his regrets, it wouldn't change anything. Even if he learnt from his mistakes, doesn't necessarily mean he earned ones forgiveness.
'And I won't expect you to forgive me.'
You popped back to your class at your seat, concealing your presence, as you didn't want to direct unwanted attention from the students — whom were wondering what did you and Aizawa discuss about.
Just then, the charcoal haired man came back to class, acting as if nothing had happened between both of you; though his eyes were slightly puffier than usual, no one noticed.
"Today, we'll be choosing our hero name," Aizawa stated, his eyes surveyed through the class before grunting. "For our hero internship."
"aND THOSE NAMES CANNOT BE CHANGED, SO CHOOSE WISELYY!"
Midnight, barbarically barged into the class of 1-A, winking towards your class as she gave off a confident aura. "Oh sweet, Aizawa you got some neat studen—"
Until her eyes landed to your seat.
"OH CRAP AIZAWA YOU GOT A NASTY STUDENT—"
"Shut up," Aizawa grumbled, slowly withdrawing himself into his yellow cocoon. "Do whatever you'd like, just make sure that you finish choosing your name by today."
