THE FEELING OF DEATH CREPT UPON YOUR SHOULDER. Every second time passed, another step closer.
Closer, and closer. But it never came.
And it never will.
falling
falling
It seemed to never end.
Sinking into an abyss that drifted so far away from space.
Your (E/C) eye hues turned neon for a brief moment, flashing with a ring of halo within. You were a time-thief that stole the most precious infinite spectrum of relativity.
Time wasn't a golden nor precious thing for you. Time couldn't match any jewel nor gold; it was too worthless.
Why should you treasure something which you ruled over?
And with that, you distorted time itself as if it were a fickle matter.
You glanced down at the ground which was a couple a feet away from you. Gracefully, you leapt off the air before landing onto the ground.
The world was truly a beauty, if it was as peaceful as this.
"Such pity, befouled!" Sighing, your lips tugged up into a subtle smile; dancing with death together. A facade that casked devilish sins with beauty. "Such a fascinating performance! Humans never cease to amaze me~"
Humans were creatures you never understood, as they craved for time. They refused to let go of the moment, it was too precious, a memory that ought to be valued. So greedy, too greedy — with their inner greed overruling their rationale.
You were human no more. Ever since you acquired the power of an infinite realm.
With a deteriorating mindset, society seemed to be little marionette dolls performing a splendid ballad; indeed! Getting controlled and manipulated by those who dominated their authorities over.
In a case, heroes were the ones manipulating those poor citizens. What a naive thought — "Fear not, for I have arrived!" — how laughable. A sentence filled with lies, but perceived as a pride of hope by others.
Those brainwashing authorities that forces society to aspire heroes. Branding heroes to be legendary and supreme beings; an otherworldly God. To be worshipped, to be praised, to be aspired.
They were meant to be the perfect saviours of the world from destruction.
"Oh well, perhaps we could play another game of ring-a-rosie another time~" Snapping your fingers, the flow of the wind continued its natural rhythm that glided with its air-like breeze. The light from the Sun continued releasing different radiant waves that illuminated beneath the clouds, whispering its melancholy light. "After all, I've got all the time on my hands!"
Skipping back to the agency not far away, you hummed along to a notorious melody as you constantly shifted; left, right, left, right.
"Yahoo! (Y/N)~" Looking up ahead, you saw Shindo enthusiastically waving towards your direction as he called out your name. Ah, he was a natural born actor you had to admit. He completely swapped his true nature with a mask filled with happiness and joy. A tonne of bullshit. "You're here!"
Your eyes darted up, as you managed to glimpse up above. Hawks was still floating up above, slightly dumbfounded on how you suddenly, disappeared. You assumed that the man might have forgotten about your quirk.
"Yeah!" Jogging, your paced quickened slightly before you arrived your destination. Holding in a scowl, you lips turned up into a forced smile. "Shall we do a quick spar before Hawks arrives? I mean, just to buy some time. Since we are half an hour earlier!"
Lure your enemies into the bait.
"Let's begin!" Exclaiming in profound joy; he was excited to eliminate you. A shame indeed! — it was nothing more but an aspiration.
Smirking, he released powerful tremors that fiercely shook the ground. A violent foreshock that caused buildings around to convulse slightly. He floated onto the boat that (Y/N) (L/N) was nothing more but a mere obstacle.
An obstacle that should be gotten rid of.
Boulders from the earth, as well as broken pieces of the buildings was afloat. He held both of his arms up, assuming that you stood in place due to shock, before releasing a final wave of shock.
Oh, he was absolutely wrong.
tick
tock
(E/C) insane eyes glared through the souls of dead. Halting time of your surroundings in an instance; except for Shindo. You see — it was no fun, if he instantly passed from a painless death. Besides, if Hawks was conscious, he would've intervened the bloody scene.
If Shindo wanted you dead, you had to play with him a little more. Make that poor soul suffer in his own game. It is a common knowledge that within a game, one would always be more advantageous than the other.
Oh, what a shame! That poor soul was unfortunately, in your domain of time and space. Naturally as the predator, you were assigned with a simple task.
"Wha-" Blood spilled out from his mouth and chest. The salty red substance that came out was enough to fill a large puddle. Begrudgingly, he grunted as he looked down at his chest. Something felt, off. Something felt, out of place.
A predator must teach its prey to learn its place.
"Ah, sorry!" Smiling, you held up your hands in the air, with your right palm grasping onto a crimson thumping object. Tilting your head sideways, you slowly held up your left hand by his lips, hushing him from uttering a single word.
