DARKNESS LINGERED ACROSS YOUR CONSCIOUSNESS, LURKING BEYOND THE SHADOWS, AS IT SILENTLY CREPT UPON LIKE A BITTERSWEET NIGHTMARE. Gentle, yet disastrous, dull and wicked. It captured your soul into a obstruction, limiting your freedom.

Clinging onto your oh so precious, so delicate soul, corrupting it like the sweetest dream.

You felt your body, or perhaps consciousness, floating. Falling deeper and deeper into the dark space. A never ending void filled with monsters that lurked beyond the shadows.

Was this the end of it?

A soft, cool breeze gushed passed you. It was relaxing, yet somewhat soothing. It felt like you were loved. You were wanted by others.

It was like, a mother's embrace.

You have never, not once in both of your lives; as (Y/N) (L/N) and Yumiko Aizawa, have you ever felt such warmth. Such sincerity, such tenderness.

Maybe, it was your fault all along.

Perhaps, you were too focused on thinking of the past. You were stuck, no, obsessing over the years when you first experienced happiness, betrayal and pain.

You were to busy to notice to present. Because the present is different from the past. And you knew, that you could've changed it.

And yet, why didn't you?

"You know doll, I never had the chance to tell you lots of stuff." A raspy voice rung, as you could feel a hand gently caressing your cheek. "I missed you a lot."

Was it... Touya?

You desperately tried to look for him around your surroundings. However, it ended in no avail. It was only pitch black.

"You were my first ever friend back then you know? I was your prince charming, and you were my everything."

No matter how much you tried to forget about him, a part of you just couldn't let go.

You couldn't bare to lose him.

"I... I didn't mean any of the words I said that day."

Even if he called you a monster. Even if he didn't consider you as a friend.

"I'm really sorry doll face..."

You still seemed to forgive him naturally.

Whether it was a lie or not.

"I loved, no... I love you. And I always will."

You could tell, his voice was hoarse. He was about to cry. You wanted to hug him, and comfort him. To tell him that it was all alright.

"Everything is okay Touya..." You knew he couldn't hear you, no matter how hard you tried. In ended in no avail.

It was your fault that made him like this, broken.

Because you told him that you used to love him, not anymore. Even though it was a lie, he couldn't tell.

He loved you so much that he wouldn't mind if you fell for someone else.

"You can hate me all you want. Despise me, hate me, forget about me..."

"I love you so much my princess..."

"Don't leave... Please..." A faint whisper echoed throughout the dark abyss, before continuous chain of hiccups along with sobs occurred. "Please Touya... Stay a little longer..."

"Thank you, for being my friend."

Maybe this was the price of your sin. For hurting others, for carrying all the burden alone.

You had to pay the price of losing something in exchange.

TO SAY THAT YOU WERE FEELING ALRIGHT WHEN YOU WOKE UP WAS AN UNDERSTATEMENT.

In fact, you never felt so shitty in your whole life.

"Miss (L/N)..." An old man with glasses, a quirk specialist doctor. He tapped his pencil on his board, before glancing back and fourth. "You know that-"

"You don't have much time left."

"I know..." You turned your head away from him, looking out the window. The sunset was beautiful. "Why should I care? Its not like I'm going to die either ways."

"But you soul gets weaker!"

"And how is that my problem?" It didn't matter much to you anyways. You could always live another life, anytime.

The doctor sighed, as he knew it was useless to convince you. It would have been impossible to change your mind.

Why enjoy this life to the fullest when you keep living with shackles?

Why can't you just be free?

Why?

"Ah right doc. Could you get the small white rat. Principal of UA, around this height." You gestured your hands, waving them below your bed. "Around... here!"

"(L/N) asking for a guest? That's rare..."

"I made up my mind for the hero internship."

"Well that was expected Miss (L/N)!" A small, squeaky voice appeared out of fucking nowhere. "Now, who did you pick? Eraserhead or Hawks?"

"What the fuck Nezu-" You cursed at your principal, almost flipping the IV drip stand that was connected to your right hand.

"Miss (L/N), I do advice you to prevent yourself from swearing."

"No promises, rathead." The young mouse sighed at your response, before raising his eyebrow. "Just because I requested you here, doesn't mean I'm not mad with you anymore."

'I'm just channeling my inner fucking piece to prevent myself from mincing your ass.' Your inner thoughts flowed within your body; in and out.

"Very well, anyways let's get to the point." The petite white mouse straightened his red bow tie, before giving a typical business smile. "Who are you picking for your hero internship?"

Heroes.

They say that heroes are the light of society.

'If I want to move from the past.'

You took in a deep breath, clutching onto the bedsheets as Nezu slid your hero internship form in front of you.

But without villains, heroes are would play a non-significant role within the world.

'I will have to face the present.'

You shakily grabbed the pen placed beside, writing a his name down on the piece of paper.

Hawks; Keigo Takami
