You left the room fuming, Joohyuk practically running behind you to keep up.
"I can't believe that fucking asshole," you cursed out loud.
"Keep your voice down," Joohyuk warned.
You stopped suddenly, pointing a finger at Joohyuk as if you were scolding him. "After everything. Everything I've done for that man, he has the audacity." You turned again and marched towards the office, ready to collect your things and get the fuck off the damn resort. You turned the corner and stopped suddenly again, Joohyuk almost crashing into you.
Jungkook was outside the door, leaning casually against the wall, his arms comfortably crossed over his chest, and his heel propped against the baseboard. Zoya was there too, standing closer to him than necessary. He was saying something to her, a smile lighting his face as he spoke, and she laughed, playfully slapping his arm as she did.
Joohyuk's gaze flitted between you and the two of them. He opened his mouth to say something, but you shot your hand into the air in a "stop" motion, warning him his advice was not welcomed.
You took in a deep breath, relaxing your jaw, and shimmying the tension off your shoulders - then you made your way towards them.
"Hey," Jungkook greeted you, when he finally noticed you - not a glimmer of guilt on him. But you drove past him and into the room, and he knew then something was up. "Something happen?" he asked, Joohyuk giving him a look that said "yes."
"Zoya," you called out to the hall. "You have to leave. Joohyuk, go find Taesub now and get the cars ready. Jungkook, close the door and start packing." Everyone jumped to action. Even Zoya obeyed, regardless of the fact you weren't her boss.
You began packing up your things in an intense silence, while Jungkook tiptoed around doing the same.
When he was done, he leaned against a sideboard, his hands supported over the counters edge. He watched you finish up, until he built up the courage to speak, "Are you going to tell me what happen?"
"It's not your concern."
"Well, I am concerned anyways, so why don't you humour me?" You stopped what you were doing to turn to face him. Placing your hands on your hips and glaring at him, you tried to decide whether to tell him your boss pimped you out to a pervert - or warn him you were going to rip him a new one for flirting with another woman. But before you decided, he tried to disarm you. "You look really pretty."
"Pretty?" you cocked your head, not taking the bait, your tone a warning that a storm was coming.
"Okay, well you look really fucking sexy, but for some reason it felt wrong to say that while all this Eyes Wide Shut shit is going on." You continued to stare daggers at him, even though you were flattered.
"You and Zoya seem to be friendly."
"Yeah?" he answered, a skeptical ring to his tone, like he knew where this was going. "I worked for her for a bit."
"Did you sleep with her?"
"Is that what this is about?"
"You're not even going to deny it?"
"I don't know," his face morphed into something very self-satisfied. "I kinda like the way jealousy looks on you."
"I'm not jealous," which was only partially a lie. Mostly you felt fooled. "I just want to know what number I am."
"What makes you think I slept with her?"
"She seemed very pleased with the idea."
"Really?" there was a little shock and a little too much intrigue in his voice for your liking. You stepped forward, getting close enough to ensure he couldn't see anything but you, tilting your chin upwards so your lips were inches from his, then you cupped his bulge over his pants, triggering a small noise to whistle in his throat.
