"Cloud and I will climb up first because we have the batteries and the other necessities to make it to the plate. The rest of AVALANCHE nodded in agreement.

"Ya know, I'm startin' ta like this ___ girl," Biggs whispered to Jessie.

"Get a grip, Biggs." Jessie sighed." Why don't ya ask her if she feels the same way after the mission? "

"You're a genius!" Biggs whisper shouted.

Jessie facepalmed. "boys can be so clueless."

"Hey!" Barret shouted. "Are y'all just gon' stand there or are you gon' climb up here?"

You and Were at the top waiting for the rest of AVALANCHE to make it up there with you guys.

You looked at Cloud who leaned towards you. You leaned towards him lips slightly parted. Just before your lips met you were interrupted.

"Hey Cloud! Hey, ____!" Tifa cried. "Were you and Cloud just...?"

"No.," you said looking at Cloud, "no we weren't."

"Alright then," Tifa said while winking at you and Cloud causing you to blush slightly.

Seconds later, Barret climbs up wheezing and panting.

"Never again you two never again." "Just cuz yous twos were once SOLDIERs don't mean you gotta go treatin' the rest of us like SOLDIER," Barret complained.

"I didn't think it was so bad Barret." Tifa joked.

"Alright, now let's go. you said.

Cloud nodded. Tifa smiled and followed you two. Jessie and Biggs groaned and Barret very reluctantly followed.

"No time to do nothing." You said. You and Cloud took off toward the Shinra building hiding behind a corner waiting for the rest of AVALANCHE to catch up with you.

When everyone was there, they were all panting and wheezing. "Which way you wanna go?" Barret asked.

"I uh..." You stammered.

"Follow me," Cloud whispered.

You were met with a large metal door. Let's go. You slowly opened the door looking around making sure that you weren't being followed.

"Coast is clear." You said. "Cloud and I go first for obvious reasons." "Next will come, Jessie and Biggs because they tend to get out of hand ."  You coughed out that last bit. "Last, Barret will stay in the back and make sure that nothing goes wrong." "That sums it up." You said matter-of-factly.  "Everyone got that?" You asked one last time before you set off.

You walked up the stairs in relative silence the only noise to be heard was the humming of the fluorescent lights overhead and your heavy footsteps on the flimsy metal steps.

"Cloud," you whispered. "You still have the keycard from your last visit here?"

Cloud dug into his pants pocket for a bit. before handing it to you quickly. You needed this to get up to the sixty-ninth floor where the president Rufus would be.

"Shit!" you whisper shouted. "I forgot to ask if everyone checked their materia."

"It'll be fine _____," Tifa said reassuringly. "There's a break room on the sixty-fifth floor." "We can go ahead and check our materia there. "

"But what if say we get found out way before we even get that far!" You say panicked."

"Damn, that girl's got a point." Barret sighed.

"Everyone check your materia!" Cloud said dropping a decently sized sack filled with mysterious orbs called materia. "I know I have mine."

"Tifa you should be the healer because you clearly have had experience with restore materia. " You say.

"Right," Tifa says nodding her head.

"Barret," Cloud says. "You should handle the fire materia because it goes really well with the fact that you use a machine gun. You understand offensive materia."

"True." Barret says "and I only got one slot."

"Better make it count," You said to Barret who understood what you meant.

"Jessie, Biggs." You said, "I think you guys should handle the enemy ability materia after all, we've got multiple of these and they could be viable in a situation."

They both nodded in agreement.

"Just because we got materia doesn't mean that we should charge into battle recklessly. " Cloud said.

"Let's go then." You said sliding the key card in. The door lock clicked and you crept through one by one.

" Let's go and try not to draw so much attention to yourselves. " You said.

"Elevators are this way," you said while nodding to other Shinra workers pretending to greet them.

When you reached the sixty-ninth floor, you made sure to go up the staircase leading to the main room where Rufus would surely be waiting for you. The room was empty you figured because he was the president of Shinra he'd be pretty busy all the time being in meetings.

"Barret, go find a spot that's secluded and well hidden and also, make sure you have a clear shot. "

"You bet," Barret whispered.

"Right then, I'll go talk to Rufus."

"Tifa come with me. " You said just in case something happens.

"Jessie, Biggs, I'm gonna need you guys to disarm the security systems. Make sure you don't get caught."

"I'll give Barret the signal to fire It'll be when I twiddle my thumbs," you said demonstrating so that they know what to look for.

"Let's bring down Shinra once and for all."

"Good day President Rufus." You said kindly with your hands gently clasped together.

"Hello..." Rufus said  "What might be your name again?" Rufus asked. "I'm Beatrice from the registration counter you said twiddling your thumbs."

Barret noticed and fired a single shot.

The bullet landed right where you had intended it to. His head. Rufus dropped down dead blood pooling around him.

You walked down the staircase and back into the elevator. Where you headed for the first floor.

You casually walked out of the Shinra building and began to head back down the wire.

"Meet me back at 7th Heaven!" you told The group.

All the while sprinting through the wall market.
