You walked up the stairs and were greeted by the dead bodies of Scarlet, Reeve, Palmer, and Heidegger.
"They deserved it." You thought. Vengeance was fresh on your mind.
"However, does anyone really deserve to die?" You asked yourself.
Turning to the president's desk, your eyes were met by cold, mako-infused ones.
"So, you really have returned," Cloud demanded. "What for?!"
"I have yet to find the promised land." A cold, drawing voice answered.
The mysterious man stood up and unfurled a single black wing. He had a long thin sword at his side, covered in blood 'Masamune' was engraved on the flat of the blade.
"SEPHIROTH!" Cloud screamed as he charged towards him with the fusion sword drawn.
Sephiroth stood perfectly still. The fusion sword was well on its way towards its target when Sephiroth swung the Masamune causing the fusion sword to sail out of Cloud's hands. With a quick stab, Sephiroth had Cloud impaled with the long, thin blade of the Masamune. You could do nothing but watch as Cloud grappled at what part of Masamune he could reach.
Sephiroth smiled as he threw Cloud across the room.
"CLOUD!" Everyone cried.
You drew your Enhance Sword and stood in front of Cloud's unconscious body.
"I have to do something or else everybody else will die. I can't go through that again." You told yourself.
Sephiroth smirked at you and he flew out of the broken window towards the roof of the Shinra building. You dashed for the stairs that lead up to the roof. Sephiroth was hovering high above the roof. He leered down at you.
"So, you want more, I'd be happy to give it to you." He said with a voice as cold as ice.
You gripped the enhance sword tighter. Shifting its weight between your two hands.
"What do you want?" You asked Sephiroth in a rather shaky voice. Even though you were once in SOLDIER, Sephiroth's might still frightened you.
He landed with a click of his boots.
"I thought I already told you." Sephiroth began in a tired voice. He was examining the blade of the Masamune with extreme intent as if it were more interesting than you. Which, it probably was to him at least.
"I want to find the promised land and take it back for mother's sake."
He took a few lazy swings of the Masamune, each slash evicting a woosh as it rent the very air around it.
He looked at the sky, raising a hand, he summoned clouds from seemingly nowhere. He readied his blade and began to charge at you. You barely had time to jump away. Sephiroth was the first super-SOLDIER and because of that, his speed was unmatchable, He managed to nick your side causing you to cry out in pain. Using what little of your magic power you had left, you healed the wound.
"Pathetic girl." he sneered. "Though I will have to admit, no one has yet been able to evade my attacks but, for how long can you keep it up?"
Slash after slash, charge after charge. You could feel your strength slip away after each dodge.
"Damn." You cursed. "I can't keep this up forever, I need to..."
Sephiroth attacked suddenly. Leaving you unable to finish your thought.
"I could try to counter." You noticed, "Or attack whenever he's about to use his magic."
You noticed a red gleam start to form, "Now's my chance!" You realized.
Sephiroth must have noticed you because he stopped whatever he was trying to summon and charged at you. You couldn't jump away in time. You felt agony like you never had before. Your face was mere inches away from Sephiroth's and you felt nothing but fear. You were lifted off your feet. Scrabbling to grab whatever part of the Masamune's blade you could. Slowly dragging yourself upwards towards the tip of the blade. You fell down in a painful heap. You quickly drank an ether and cast cure on yourself.
"Didn't want you stealing any of my magic power." You said proudly.
"Why you little!" Sephiroth sounded angry and that terrified you. You held your sword and this time, you felt a surge of energy.
"You can do it__!" You heard the voices of your friends cheer you on within your mind.
You nodded quickly.
"OMNISLASH!" You Yelled.
"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen...FIFTEEN!" You counted the first fourteen numbers in your head and yelled out the last hit.
Sephiroth Fell to the ground amidst a mass of black feathers.
"This is not the last you will see of me." He grunted. "As long as you are alive, I will live on in your memories."
Sephiroth disappeared when the clouds faded and gave way for a new day.
