Deception of the Heart

Chapter 5

When Kate returned to the table they both pretended as though nothing happened and they all continued to enjoy their meals.

*** Present day***

"Kate?" 

" Kate, honey are you ok"  asked Kate's mom, Mrs. Bombswell  as she knocked on Kate's door.

There was no answer from the room.  She let herself in. Kate's room was already made up, her room was cleaned , but she was not in sight...maybe she went for a run, her mom thought.

"Thanks for meeting me here ", Kate said 

"You know i will always be here for you" said the male as he drew her closer and place her head on his shoulder. 

" Kate?"

"Yes" Kate answered and looked up into his eyes,

"After all this time, why did you call? why now?"

Kate stared in his eyes for a while longer, taking in the way he looked at her, it is almost as though she had forgotten, how it felt, he looked at her with so much love, so much passion, it just beamed through his eyes, she could feel his heart racing beneath her fingers where she rested her hand on his chest. Kate ran her hand on his face so gently, he closed his eyes as though to savor the moment, she slowly reached up to him and gently  caressed his lips with hers, he drew her closer and held her tightly. Sharply breathing , he pulled away, staring at her with questionable eyes, Kate knew he still wanted an answer.

" I still love you", she said

his faced lit up with a bedazzling smile, he leaned forward kissed her once more, this time on her forehead and said;

" I still love you too, Elly".

Kate got to school by nine, she had Lecture at nine-thirty but she wanted to relax and get her thoughts together before she commenced the day. Kate was shaken by what she heard between her so-called best friend and her ex, Steven. After her state of shock she decided she was not going to roll over. She decide that she would give Kim the benefit of the doubt. She wasn't going to let her know that she knew. She wanted revenge. 

Kate did love Steven but what he did was unforgivable, Kate was done being the good girl she told herself, she had a different frame of mind. as Kate thought deeply, she heard a voice becoming louder as she snapped back to reality.

"Kate..Kate?", Tim waved his hand twice across her face

"Are you OK?

"Yeah.... I'm fine..... wh...ats up?" she shakily, managed to say

"Looking for Kim, have you seen her?"

"No, not yet"

Tim sat across from her, " Ill just wait for her here then"

Tim sat, they talked for a while, small talk, as usual they both went on their phones, after a while Tim started observing Kate, things he had never noticed before, he started seeing. Kate dressed up more than she usually did today, she had a "meeting" earlier this morning . Tim began to notice the plumpness of her lips, the curves of her breasts,her silky long hair, her smooth skin .....was she always this hot? damn! Tim thought. Kate looked up from her phone and caught him staring at her, their eyes met, and lingered for a while, Kate bit her bottom lip without even realizing, they both stared at each other intensely, them they quickly broke eye contact when they heard Kim calling from a distance.

"Hey guys!" her typical loud self, making an entrance as usual.

Kim ran to Tim and put her tongue down his throat. Then went to hug Kate. Kate really didn't want to hug her but she knew she had to act normal , so she doesn't raise any suspicion.... you damn hypocrite! heartless, Canning , Bitch!  Kate thought. As she hugged Kim she realized Tim was still staring sat her, a smirk appeared on Kate's face, She knew exactly what she was gong to do, its pay back time!
