Met by accident (One Direction)

Chapter 42

Kendall's POV 

Niall came back in about 5 minutes later and greeted Perrie. "What time does the concert start again?" Perrie questioned. Oh yeah, the concert. I was still nervous about that. I'm sure it will go by fine. That still doesn't make my fear go away. I know some fans don't like me. What if they boo? Or throw stuff at me? How am I supposed to deal with all of this? 

"It starts at 8 but we have to be there at 6. Which absolutely sucks, but it'll be fun." Liam explained and continued shoving food in his mouth. Chloe barely touched her food when Niall leaned over and whispered something in her ear. I figured it was something good because she slowly started eating again. 

"Are you coming to the concert?" Niall asked Perrie and she nodded her head excitedly. Perrie never really liked One Direction. She just listened to them because I did. I was glad she was coming because I needed my girl best friend there tonight. I don't think I can do this without her. 

"Kendall?" Harry questioned and nudged me. I shook my head and looked at him in a confused way. Did they ask me something? "I asked if you were excited." 

"Yeah, yeah. I'm excited." I smiled. I was excited. It wasn't a lie. Maybe a little nervous, okay scratch that. I was a lot nervous. Like a lot a lot. Why can't it just go away? 

We ate for about 30 more minutes until everyone was done eating. Ashton was walking slightly ahead of us, being his normal self. The word for it was weird. But, this was the good kind of weird. "Come on Luke! We have to!" Ashton whined and I laughed. I didn't really know what they were arguing about. 

"What do we totally have to do Ashton?" I questioned and he laughed. He stopped dead in his tracks and kind of squatted down. 

"Stand behind me." He instructed and I curiously did what he said. He grabbed the back of my thigh and he started carrying me around on his back. I almost screamed when he picked me up but ended up laughing instead.

"Dude! I can see China from up here! The weather is so nice!" I joked and Luke laughed at me. "Don't laugh, I'm so taller than you now!" I stuck my tongue out. 

"Wanna go?" Luke questioned and put his hands on his hips. 

"Depends where we're going." I laughed and Calum let Luke jump on his back. "Ashton! Look what he did!" I screamed and Harry laughed from behind us. I quickly jumped off Ashton's back and he knelt down. When he stood back up I was sitting on his shoulders. "Holy crap. The ground is so far away." I looked down while keeping my hands on Ashton's head. "Take that!" I said getting back on track. 

Calum and Luke looked at each other and Calum shook his head. "Not happenin' mate." He laughed  and I stuck my tongue out at Luke again. 

"I'll keep this in mind." He laughed and started talking to Michael about some thing for the concert. 

"You wanna stay up there?" Ashton asked and I nodded. I felt safe up here in all honesty. I finally feel like my dad can't get me. Completely safe. Because of Harry and Ashton. The rest of the guys help too. But, mainly those two. I've lived in fear for so long. That's why I moved, and so I could see the world. But, mainly to be safe. Or at least a little safer. My hands were still on Ashton's head. His hair was really soft. My hair was now shorter than all of theirs. Which was fine, I think it looks fine. Harry and Ashton like it too. So that's what matters, right? "You're just full of day dreams today, aren't you?" Ashton questioned and startled me so much I almost fell off his shoulders. "Woah. Sorry." 

"I'm just out of it today." I laughed and put my hands back on his head. I really am out of it today. Like badly. 

"Kendall?" Harry questioned from behind me. "You were right. About being out of it. Cause you really are," he laughed. Ugh! Again. What's wrong with me today?
