Rohit 's POV

I actually feel guilty for not going to her meeting. This moron is just making me more guilty.

I mailed an apology yesterday night. When I woke up in the morning or rather I should say was forcefully woken up. I saw the mail from her manager saying that the contract is canceled .

Seriously dude isn't she taking it way to far. Any other person would have taken it as prank.

Here this idiot is scolding me.

I said irritated " Virat enough , what is the matter ? You have been acting weird since you found out about your long lost best friend."

Virat answered " Rohit you don't understand , if she is behaving like this a stone cold person then something must have happened that has changed her."

I asked him " Why don't you go talk to her directly?"

He answered " Bro she won't tell me . If I go through you it would look more natural. Krystle is not that person who tell everyone of her grief. "

I asked one more question that was in my mind from a long period of time " What was she like before?"

He smiled and said " She was complete opposite of what she is now . She used to fill happiness around her. You know I always used to whine to her when we lost a match. And she always used to wrap her arms around me and say Vi one day you will go big. And look she was right.
Each and every guy used to ask her out and her simple yet firm no. If anyone used to trouble her me and her brother used to make his life living hell."

I smiled and even laughed. Virat has a special bond with her , it was not love , it was pure friendship including a touch of brother hood "

That's what compelled me to go to her office and apologise to her.

But no I didn't got the chance, in her damn office her manager told me that actually she was stuttering. I swear to god she and her entire staff is mad . Anyways back to the point she will not be coming to the office for two days.

Just then I saw my long lost best friend Ritika Sajdeh .

I went to her seat and tapped on her shoulder. She just said one minute and ignored me .

I said " Kya madam aap toh videsh jaane ke baad hume bhool hi gayi. Hum yaaha aapki yaad mein maare jaa rahe hai or aapne ek phone bhi nahi kiya."

She looked at me like I was not there as if she was dreaming. I felt like laughing but then I maintain my so called angry look.

She started " Ro , I changed my number when I moved. But that's no excuse, ok I am sorry."

I continued trying to look at her in anger but failed miserably in controlling myself from laughing.

She whined " Rohit , my new boss is so khadoos yaar "

I said you come with me for a coffee and we can discuss all about your khadoos boss.

So we discussed everything the ultimatum given by her and her disappearance. Just then an idea popped in my mind which will benefit both my best friend.

I said to Ritika " Do you desire a pay rise ?"

Ritika looked startled " What ? I mean of course but how?"

I said giving her one of my best smirk " They need my replacement, and who can replace the vice captain. Simple the captain , just offer the same contract to Virat . I will make sure he signs it.

She looked satisfied but asked " Are you sure that the captain will agree to it?"

I said " I will make sure of it , you just do your side of work .Another don't take my name . "

She said " Ok , either way I would have not taken your name , then instead of promotion she would make me resign . You really did a number on her."

I said laughing " Well , you can say that she suffered from my forgetfulness ."

She said chuckling lightly " Now , I am well aware of that . So do one thing now you go leave me alone, I have to go work and propose your wonderful idea to Payal the marketing head."

I said getting ready to leave " Yup , going send the contract fast. " I winked at her and then left.

Trust me all this I am doing so that Virat can reconnect with his friends and I can help my long lost best friend.

I went home and told Virat all this . At first he was shocked and said " You would go to this extent for me ?"

I looked at him like he was mad " Of course you are my best brother and mind it she is not gonna replace me .

Virat laughed and said " She cannot but your Ritsy was it should not replace it."

I chuckled lightly " No promise "

He threw a pillow at me . You can say that we had a pillow fight.

I said after we both had finished " Sunn agle 2 hafte ke liye maid nahi aa rahi . She went to her town . Meri madad kar ghar hi safai karne mein . Tu jhaadu utha mein pocha dhota Hun."

Virat groaned but agreed as if he had an option of not agreeing.
