"Firestar are you mad?" Whispered Buzzardtail. He and Firestar met in the leaders den to discuss the situation, while Darkstone ate a bird. Firestar looked at him, his eyes shown with a deep, dark sorrow.
He answered "I don't know. I can't sleep, I cant eat; Buzzardtail, I'm old... perhaps too old to lead."
"Firestar...." said Buzzardtail, summoning his courage "If you were to die.... I'll do my best to keep Thunderclan alive." Firestar swelled with pride, this young warrior is very determined.
"I will stay with you until the very end." Continued Buzzardtail.

Buzzardtail and Firestar made their way out of the cold, depressing den to find Darkstone sitting next to ehat remained of the bird. He seemed to be on edge; he looked around as if the shadows were going to ambush him.
"I didn't come here to.... well...." Darkstone trailed off. Firestar put his tail around him, which seemed to calm him down slightly.
Firestar reassured "Try again, calm down amd gather your thoughts."
Darkstone took a deep breath, then said "My mate and kits are being terrorized by foxes, they tried to kill my.... I.... please, you must...." he trailed off.
Buzzardtail asked "who is your mate? Where are they?"
"Her name is Morningsky, she has the pelt of spring-leaf. My little kits are Roarkit, Horsekit, and Shadowkit. The foxes forced us into a hollowed out two-leg thing, it's like a brown furred bush." Swiftly answered Darkstone. Firestar nodded.
"Don't worry, we'll get your family safe." Assured he. Buzzardtail looked away, he fur stood on end, and anger glimmered in his eyes.
Darkstone continued "there's at least five foxes... do you think...." he trailed off.
"Of course." Answered Firestar.
