Buzzardtail sat at the entrance to the gorge; his ears and eyes searching for anything... or anyone.
Suddenly the bushes in front of him rustled. His claws shot out, and his fur stood on end; Buzzardtail yowled, throwing his head to the sky
"Intruders! Intruders!" A black tom with a pure white chest, and orange spots that covered his entire body appeared. Paw steps thundered up the path from the gorge, and Firestar burst through the entrance. He looked very healthy with almost no trace of the strange illness that killed his clan.
"Who dares step into Thunderclan territory?" Hissed he. The black tom whimpered
"Please don't kill me! I-I... I didn't know cats still lived here!" Firestar let his fur lie flat. Buzzardtail didn't move an inch, eyeing the stranger as if he was going to claw his ears off.
"What is your name, loner?" Firestar asked.
The tom answered "My name is Darkstone...." Buzzardtail relaxed slightly.
"Welcome, Darkstone, relax and tell us your tale. We- my companion and I- are rebuilding our clan, would you join us?" Buzzardtail looked at Firestar as if he was crazy.
