A sunflower is better than a rose - at least, for you that is.

"I think I'm in love, God. Will You give me the strength to accept his choice when I hold out my heart to him, whatever it may be?"

The wind smelled sweet as it brushed its fingers through my hair, twirling with a sigh, suspended in the air, warmed by the golden gleams of sunlight flowing through the bright blue sky. The earth drank upon the streams of light in a haste, forgetting the troubles it faced in the colder days — the biting snow and the relentless tears falling from the heavens days at a time.

My glistening eyes glimmered under the veil of my fluttering lashes as they sought out a figure amid the mist by a glimpse of his chestnut locks. My lips bloomed into a relived smile.

Frail heart beating furiously in my chest, my cheeks felt rosy and warm whilst my small hands carefully held a single sunflower — the tissue-like petals fluttering in the wind like a butterfly flapping its wings.

I picked this flower just for you. I killed it with my own hands. Will you accept this offering of my love?
