Barbra pulled the hood of her jacket farther down to cover her face as she watched three men exit the bar in front of her. These were the men she had been staking out for the last month, building a case against. They're then men she suspected of murdering Mr. Hanson and making it look like a hit done by a rival gang. What Barbra couldn't figure out though, was why. She had seen several other instances of incriminating activity done by the men but she still didn't have enough evidence to pin Mr. Hanson's murder to them. Barbra knew if she brought them in on different charges, they wouldn't fess up to killing Mr. Hanson unless she had solid proof and that's why she had been holding off, assuring Mrs. Hanson she was doing everything in her power to link these men to her husbands death.

But after a month of nothing, Barbra was beginning to doubt her skills.

Why would Gerald Lawson, Tony Muscat, and Johnny Ryder kill John Hanson, an unsuspecting realtor in his home and pant drugs on him? Something wasn't adding up in Barbra's mind. "Are you always this focused?" The sound of his voice jarred Barbra out of her thoughts and caused her to pause in the middle of the street. Her heart felt like it was going to beat out of her chest. Slowly, she looked up at Azrael. "I've been walking next to you for two blocks now and you didn't even notice." Barbra just stared at him, knowing she was letting Lawson, Muscat and Ryder slip away from her but not knowing how to react to this situation. Azrael hadn't been seen in a month and here he was, right next to her on a half busy street in broad daylight. What was she supposed to do? Judo flip him? She was supposed to be undercover right now.

"I'm working." Was all Barbra could think to say.

"Clearly." Azrael said, looking up towards where the men had disappeared around a bend.

"Can I help you?" Barbra demanded. Azrael smirked, glancing down at her as she crossed her arms over her chest. "If you're gonna hurt me, just do it whenever you find the time. You don't have to talk to me. Social interaction doesn't seem like your thing."

"Not with the others." Azrael said, as Barbra began to walk away from him. "Dabria is only fun to talk with with I tell her about all the things I'm planning to do to her and her boyfriend. Tim is just annoying. So is the other kid and I doubt Bruce would actually talk to me other than to interrogate." Barbra swallowed hard.
