Chapter twenty-three

Arg. Monday morning. My class was at 10:30 and it was 8:57. I looked over to Lesedi's bed and she wasn't there. This girl is barely here.

I get ready and head to the cafe. It wasn't full but it also wasn't empty. "Hey," someone calls and hugs me from behind. Who is this? I turn and my heart drops. Ora.

"What do you want?" I ask. Seeing him just made me think of yesterday. It made me think of how he was fucking Lebo and I was disgusted. "I just wanna talk," he replies. "About what?" I ask trying to remain calm. I was about to explode. Breathe Maya. Breathe.

"Maya, I have serious feelings for you. But I also have feelings for Lebogang," he says. What? He has feelings for her? "Leave me alone," I say on the verge of crying.

I run out of the cafe and bump into Jabu. "What's wrong?" he asks. I hug him and cry. Why are all of these boys going to Lebo? What does she have that I don't? What can she give that I can't?

"I'm hungry. But I don't wanna go back into the cafe. Ora's there," I say. "Go to my dorm. I'll bring you food," he says. "Thank you," I reply and walk to his dorm.

On my way there, I see Mpumi. Great. Fucking great. "Hey. Maya. Are you okay? Why are you crying?" she says. "I'm okay. You wanted to talk?" I say.

"Well, uhm.... I actually wanted to tell you about Lesego. She's been seeing you around and she wants to get to know you. I hope you're okay with me giving her your number," she says smiling. So now Lesego has some sort of crush on me? Wow.

"Tell her to text me," I say without thinking. "Great," she replies. "Bye Mpumi," I say and she waves.

I walk into Jabu's room and there was a naked boy there. "Shit. I'm sorry," I say and look down. "Hey, it's okay," he says and moves closer. "Let's have some fun," he adds. "No. Uhm... I think I walked into the wrong room," I stutter. "You're right where I want you to be," he says and picks me up.

He moves to the bed and I say no countless times. He spreads my legs and lays on top of me kissing me. I push him with all of my strength but he doesn't budge.

He lifts my skirt up and moves my thong to the side before pushing his fingers into me. Tears begin to fall from my face and I scream. "Hey, shut up," he says and covers my mouth. "Stoooppppp!" I yell. But he doesn't.

He takes his erect penis and pushes it into me. I try kicking him off, but he grips my legs and thrusts into me. I wiggle my body but he was still in me.

Jabu pulls him off of me and onto the ground. Puse and Lethu walk in followed by Jabu. Jabu climbs on top of him and punches him countless times. I was curled up on the bed, crying.

Lethu and Puse grab Jabu and pull him off of this boy. "I'm gonna fucking kill you, Musa!" Jabu screams. This boy grabs a few clothes and runs out.

"Leave," Jabu says to Lethu and Puse. "Fucking  get out!" he yells. Lethu and Puse look at me and walk out shutting the door behind them.

I was still curled up crying. "Are you okay?" he asks with worried eyes. His eye. That boy punched his eye. I couldn't bring myself to speak. All I could do was cry.

Jabu gave me water and sat next to me. "Jabu, what just happened?" I ask as soon as I stop crying. "Why did he touch me like that?" I add and the tears fall again. "I don't know, Maya. I don't know," he says.

"Do you wanna speak to anyone?" he asks me. "Yes. Call Leago. I saved her as Lea. Please tell her what happened. I can't bring myself to tell her," I say. "Sure," he says and takes my phone to call her.

"He RAPED her!?" I hear her scream. I didn't think about that. Did I jus- did I just get raped?
