CHAPTER TWO

Can you imagine? Since we've arrived twenty minutes ago, they'd been no one here to pick us up yet. "How long do we have to wait? I'm starving, Lynni." Reese whinned for the hundredth time.

And on cue, his tummy rumbled loudly earning a chuckle from both Sky and I. That made Reese cheeks flush from embarrassment.

Rolling my eyes in amusement, I took out my phone checking AGAIN for probably the ten thousandth time for any calls or messages indicating if someone is actually gonna come pick us up.

"Do you think we're stranded here?" Sky mumbled out whilst clutching her teddy to her chest. "I don't know." I hesitantly answered honestly.

I've been doing a great job at hiding my anger and frustrations in. It's so annoying that my so call father had decided to show up seventeen years late right after moms death. To add on, he just moved us out of LA just to come to Portland with no clue to who is supposed to be picking us up.

'He is an irresponsible person. He doesn't care about you.' My head screamt at me. 'Couldn't agree more.' This time it wasn't my head but my heart.

As my head was about to throw in another comment, my vision of line got distracted when a guy dressed in a plain white t-shirt with a leather jacket over his broad shoulders with a black jeans hanging loosely from his hips got off a black jeep.

He kinda had that swag look but looked completely innocent.

My jaws completely dropped because dayym even in this hot sun gazing down on us, he looked freaking hot standing there.

Feeling irritated with myself for checking him out, I looked down at my phone playing temple run so it won't look like I was just staring at him some seconds ago.

A minute passed when a shadow hovered over us blocking the sun out. Looking up I felt my throat go dry. 'Please don't tell me he caught me checking him out a minute ago and is here to confront me about it.' My head yelled at me.

Holding in my breath, he cleared his throat before speaking. "So your uhh Angeline, Reese and Skylar." He asked glancing at each of us. 'Pheeww.' Thank heavens.

"Umm, yeah and who are you?" I gazed into his eyes. 'They're hazel.' My heart told me. 'So.' My head counter back.

"We gotta get moving if you rather wanna stay out here in this heat baking." His soft deep melodic voice utter with authority.

"What makes you think we'd follow a complete stranger?" I questioned. "According to Mr.Mc'David, Andrew is supposed to be picking you all up but he couldn't make it so I'm doing him a favor." He pointed out as he huddled up the bags in annoyance and began walking off towards the same black jeep he came in.

'Mr. Mc'David.' Recognizing the name of my biological father, I sigh. Standing up, I collected the remaining of our bags. "That's our ride there, come on." I motioned towards the mystery guy as we three followed after him.
