Author's NOTE!: This is a poem inspired by Gregorio Del Pilar's Letter to His last love Remedios Nable Jose. If you will watch the fil Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral after Gregorio Del Pilar's death his letter was sent to his last love and I did my best to translate it in English and I decided to make a poem inspired by it.
I am back to you as a rightful soul
In your arms I know I'll be kept
I am proud to tell you, that I am a man,
A man who chose to give love for his country and fulfill the duty given to me.
My dear Remedios,
My death will never be worthless
Because I died giving honor to my country
And above all of that I'm giving honor to you.
I don't want to be a hero,
A hero who stays up the clouds,
Far and out of reach
Because I want to be keep in your arms.
In your heart I know I will remain,
And I will stay alive
With our memories,
And always be rightful for your love.
