Saved Once Again (Nalu)

Chapter 4

Natsu's POV

I'm woken up by the sound of people talking. I look over and see Levy and Lucy out on the balcony talking. I look around and see that no one else is here, not even Happy. I groan as I get up and go out to the balcony.

"Look who's up." Levy jokes.

"What time is it?" I ask.

"Around noon." Lucy answers. I nod.

"Hey, where'd everyone go?" I continue to ask questions.

"They went for a walk, they should be back soon." Lucy informs me.

"Even Happy went?" I question.

Lucy laughs. "Yeah, he didn't want to wait for you to get up." I just nod and go back inside and lie down.

Lucy's POV

After Natsu left Levy started laughing.

"What?" I asked blushing a little.

"You guys totally like each other." She laughs.

"What? That's crazy! We're just friends, that's all." I deny it but I can't help but wonder if I really do like Natsu. More than a friend.

" Haha, whatever helps you sleep at night Lu." Levy laughs again." So what was happening with you two last night?"

"W-what? Nothing." I blush.

"C'mon it was obviously something." Levy pushed.

"It really wasn't, I almost fell of the balcony and he saved me, that's it." I explain." It wouldn't be the first time he's saved me, and it definitely wouldn't be the worst thing he's saved me from."

"Really? That's it? I'm pretty sure if I hadn't interrupted you two would have kissed." She teases.

"Fine, you got me. Maybe I do like him." I admit.

"Yes! I knew it!" Levy cheers.

"Don't get your hopes up, I doubt he feels the same."

"Are you crazy? Of course he does." She reassures me.

"Even if he did we couldn't be together, were on a team. It would just get in the way of things." I tell her.

"C'mon L-"

I cut her off." Can we just stop taking about mine and Natsu's nonexistent relationship?"

"Fine." She sighs. Just then I hear Gray, Erza, and Happy come in.

"We should go inside." I say.

"Yeah, let's go." She agrees. We go inside and see they've got food, and of course Happy got his fish.

"Hey guys." I greet them." When were you planning to go to the beach?"

"I'm heading down in a little bit." Erza says.

"I think I might go later tonight, it'll be a lot cooler." Gray says.

"You know, I think I might too." I say to Gray.

"You can't stay out too late, no one aloud on the beach after midnight." Erza informs us.

"I won't be out that late." I tell her.

I go over to my bed and continue reading the book that I started yesterday. A few moments later I notice that Natsu is being quiet.

"Hey Natsu, are you ok?" I ask him.

"What? Oh ya, I'm fine. Just thinking." He replies.

" I didn't know flame brain could think." Gray comments.

"What did you say?" Natsu asks getting angry.

Here we go again. I thought.

"Enough you two. Now's not the time to be arguing, we are supposed to be relaxing." Erza says.

"It's kinda hard to relax with Natsu around." Gray continues to argue.

" You better watch your mouth ice princess." Natsu argues back.

"What di-" Gray starts, but then Erza grabbed them both by the hair and smashed their heads together.

"What did I tell you two about arguing?" Erza scolds.

I laugh." They'll never learn."

"You got that right." Levy agrees.

Up until the time I go to the beach I talk more with Levy, read more of my book, and go on a walk. Once I see that the sun is starting to set I head to the beach. I wasn't planning on going swimming, but I was planning on watching the sun set. Something I haven't done in a while.

I sit on the sand and watch the sun set and eventually I hear someone walking up to me, and then they sit next to me. I look over and see that it's Natsu. It was quiet for a few seconds before I spoke up.

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

"Yeah. It is." He replies looking over at me, and I smile.
