"if you and me are living in the same place, why do we feel alone?"

areum awoke a couple minutes after the clock had hit 6. after many years of attending school and waking up early her habit developed. although areum didn't find it troublesome if anything she loved it. she loved waking up early enough to hear the birds singing, to watch the sun rise signifying a new day had started.

areum slightly stretched before getting up from the comfort of her bed to take a quick shower. once she finished she changed into what she planned to wear to school and headed down the hallway to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.

at the sight of the spare room she shuddered remembering she had let a complete stranger stay in her apartment as a "favor." sometimes she wished she could say no to people. it would be beneficial when she found herself in situations like this. areum continued to walk towards the kitchen. once she entered she started grabbing the ingredients for a simple and quick breakfast since she didn't have much time before school started.

once she finished cooking she headed towards the spare bedroom and knocked on the door. after a minute or so of no reply she decided to knock once again but received no reply. she sighed before she reached towards the handle to push the door open.

but before she could comprehend what was happening the door had flung open and the stranger from last night was standing in front of her. her mouth immediately formed an "o" shape and her eyes doubled in size due to the sight in front of her.

the male stood in front of her shirtless and seemingly to have just woken up. his muscles seemed to tense once he felt areum's gaze on him. areum noticed that unlike the other boys she's met jaehyun doesn't have any tattoos. a red blush started creeping onto areum's face once she noticed jaehyun had caught her staring.

areum cleared her throat before looking down at the floor "i have a boyfriend..." she said trying to remind herself. the male named jaehyun raised an eyebrow and scoffed at the statement " your boyfriend would be upset if he saw you looking at me like that." he said almost mockingly before slamming the door shut.

areum rolled her eyes at the boys rudeness and rushed back to her room to get her backpack before it got too late.

akemi smiled to herself as she peered at her phone. she had arrived to school 5 minutes before the first class started. to other people this might be normal but to akemi it was an accomplishment. due to the fact that she usually slept in or took forever to get ready but today she decided she wanted to get their early to be able to try to pry a conversation out of the new student.

akemi started skipping towards her first class which is also the one she shared with the new student. once she entered the almost vacant classroom her usual playful smile shifted to one of  annoyance.

there where she expected to be a vacant seat was the blonde boy. he had his head down and he appeared to be on his phone. from the angle where akemi was standing his blonde hair flopped down to almost cover his eyes.

akemi also noticed that unlike yesterday the boy was wearing a striped button up that had a large picture on the right side. the first 3 buttons left unbuttoned which left a clear view of his collar bone and the delicate silver necklace dangling from his neck. the boy had paired this with black jeans that had a chain dangling from his left pocket and black shoes.

akemi approached the boy and stood in front of him while fidgeting with the rings on her fingers.

the several windows in the classroom allowed the sun to shine brightly into the room. causing akemi's shadow to form over the strange boy.
