"stay" jaehyun said making areum turn to him with confusion in her eyes. as far as she was concerned, jaehyun disliked her, almost even hated her so him initiating a conversation first confused her. areum looked up to the boy noticing his tear stained cheeks and red eyes making her eyes go wide immediately reading the situation.

"oh my god" areum said taking a step closer to him "what happened" she asked concern filling her eyes.

jaehyun gave her a sad smile. not replying he looked into her eyes before walking closer to her. stuck in a trance areum didn't back away but instead stared at the boy in awe.

"she cheated" he said sadly causing areum to look at him in confusion once again. the girl never recalled jaehyun having a girlfriend. well of course she wouldn't, he hardly even talked to her in the first place.

"who?" she questioned testing how much longer he'd talk to her. before she knew it, she was pulled into the living room catching her off guard. the two sat in the dim room. the moonlight reflecting off of their skin causing the boy to look ethereal it almost felt as if he would disappear the second the girl looked away. jaehyun was drunk, areum could tell this by how the boy had spilled all of his feelings to her. he didn't know why he was telling the girl he could care less about all of this. but he didn't care he needed to let it all out before he exploded.

areum not knowing what to say just stared at the boy as she listened to him intently. she rubbed his back gently not understanding why he was telling her all of this. she wasn't used to seeing him vulnerable as he always had a cold exterior but she didn't mind seeing him like this. after all its what made him more human.

jaehyun finished talking leaving the two sitting in silence. the males head suddenly snapped towards the girl. making her stop rubbing his back, leaving her hand there. jaehyun stared at her intently taking in the details of her face, her honey colored eyes, her button like nose, finally his eyes stopping at her plump lips.

jaehyun slowly started leaning towards the girl, eyes still locked on her lips almost as if he was in deep thought. areum stared wide eyed at jaehyun not processing what was happening. but before anything could happen. jaehyun realized what he was doing, pushing areum's hand off of his back before standing up making his way to the guest room.

"what the fuck.." areum said whispering under her breath. still confused about what had just happened. all she knew was that jaehyun seemed to have returned to being his ordinary cold self. she sighed before walking back to her bedroom.

areum slowly blinked taking in all the details in front of her. this morning the birds seemed to be chirping louder than usual. she turned to her side to see the time and sighed at the sight "6 am" she said to herself before she got up quietly as to not wake up akemi.

she quietly made her way to the kitchen still thinking about the events from last night. she couldn't hep but think what would have happened if her and jaehyun had kissed. she wondered if he'll even remember what happened the night before.

she quickly shook off her thoughts and proceeded to get the ingredients to make pancakes. after 20 minutes and around 30 mistakes later she had finished the breakfast. she turned around proudly before immediately sighing. she had been so distracted that she made a mess in the kitchen. with a bit of protest areum started cleaning the kitchen, and afterwords she started fixing the plates.

once she made sure everything was ready she called out "hey guys! breakfast is done i made pancakes!" areum sat down and immediately smiled when she heard akemi's start making her way towards the kitchen. before she knew it the younger girl was standing in front of her with a small frown adorning her face "why are you up so early? what are we eating? where's jaehyun?"
