a week later

areum woke up at the crack of dawn, right before 6. a smile playing on her face as she remembered that today was friday. she only had two classes today signifying that it was the end of the week. as areum got ready for school, she recalled the plans her and akemi had made the day before. the girls wanted to have a night with just them two. like they used to do every other night in high school. areum made her way to the guest room across from hers before knocking.

not receiving a response, areum knocked again. giving up she twisted the door handle not expecting it to be unlocked. when the door opened she was shocked. but none the less she walked into the room.

she turned on the lamp that was placed on the desk near the door before noticing that jaehyun was sound asleep. areum felt herself shifting towards jaehyun's sleeping figure. taking in all of his features. to areum, jaehyun looked less hostile when he was asleep. almost peaceful looking. areum couldn't even lie. jaehyun was good looking. before she knew it, jaehyun's eyes snapped open startling areum as she backed up.

"what the fuck are you doing" jaehyun said sitting up in the bed looking at areum with dark eyes.

"i-i was just gonna ask for a favor" she said nervously

"what" jaehyun snapped getting out of bed looking for a shirt.

areum couldn't help but stare at his toned back. "u-uh, do you mind staying at doyoung's over the weekend. akemi and i want to have a girls night. and ya know.. you aren't a girl" areum said nervously as the boy kept her back to him. "so?" areum asked getting impatient.

jaehyun turned around quickly looking at the girl with his dark piercing eyes. he slowly took steps towards the girl. areum becoming nervous, she started to take steps backwards until her back hit the wall. she gulped as jaehyun was now right in front of her. closing the space between them, jaehyun leaned towards the small girl before whispering in her ear feeling his hot breath"no". jaehyun smirked at areum before walking out of the bedroom heading toward the bathroom leaving areum shocked.

akemi sat quietly in the classroom noticing a strange aura. something about it seemed different today almost as if there was more life, more movement. akemi eyed the boy that sat next to her.

"what" yuta snapped at the girl feeling her gaze on him. yuta turned to the girl and smirked once he saw a familiar glint in her eyes.

"eat lunch with me today" akemi suddenly said catching the boy off guard causing him to furrow his eyebrows. "no shame" the boy thought to himself before licking his lips that suddenly felt dry.

"no" he said dryly before turning his attention to his phone almost as if the girl wasn't even there.

"please, areum has class" akemi said looking down at the rings in her fingers with a pout on her face. she started fumbling with the ring around her middle finger. it was a simple ring shaped like small chains that seemed to wrap perfectly around her finger. it might be simple to other people but to ameki it was her favorite. she always saw her brother wearing it no matter what.

"no" yuta repeated once again his voice sounding more irritated.

"please" akemi was practically begging the boy at this point but she'd rather beg him than sit by herself. under no circumstances did akemi want to be left alone... even if it meant having to sit with someone that absolutely despised her
