Maxine's POV

I ended the call at went to the hospital. Medyo malapit lang naman ako dito kaya mabilis akong nakapunta doon.

"dad, what happened?"

"who's my wife, doc?" my dad asked.

"She's stable now but I can't say that she's out of danger. We'll do more test. Excuse me." thank God kahit papano ayos na si mom.

Inilipat nadin si Mom sa private room.

No, this can't be real. Yung mama kong matapang at malakas andito sa hospital. Unconscious. Her face was full of bruises. Looking at her in this state breaks my heart.

Nakatulog ako na nakahawak sa kamay ni mom. Umuwi muna si dad para kumuha ng mga gamit.

Then I felt something moved. Then I woke up and saw mom opening her eyes and moving her fingers. I immediately called the doctors.

I already called dad and said susunod na daw siya.

The doctors are done checking my mom. They said okay na si mom at Kaylangan lang mag palakas. Maybe after 3-4 weeks makalabas na siya. Hindi pa nga lang maka pag salita si mom, due to the trauma of the accident.

"mom, mag palakas ka ah?" I said while holding her hands. "Hindi namin kaya kung wala ka." Mahinang-mahina pa talaga si mom. "Wag mo kaming iwanan ah? a-atend kapa sa debut ko. Ihahatid mo pa ako sa altar. Aalagaan mo pa yung magiging apo mo." I started crying again. "you can't leave us yet mom."

I kissed her hand and said "mom, I just have to talk to someone ah? wait for me."

I went outside and

dialled Angel's number. After 3 rings sinagot niya na.

[Hello? Maxine. why were you absent? what happened? are you alright?]

"hey, easy. My mom had an accident yesterday."

eto ang gusto ko Kay Angel eh. She's very concerned kahit di pa kami gaano mag kakilala. She's really a good friend.

[oh my gosh. Is she okay now?]

"she's stable now. But, Angel I'll be gone for 3 or 4 weeks. Please ikaw na bahala mag sabi sa mga profs."
