Life in a shell 🐚

"Nightmares"

Wrapped up in my warm fluffy blanket, thinking about how so much has changed over these pass months. My Papa had pass away and no matter how real it feels am still in disbelief that I'll never get to see his face again or let him know how much "I Love Him". We take life for granted so much that we never realize that it only takes a second to lose the ones we love. Mama hasn't been doing so well lately but with each day she tries to smile so that we can be alright. Finances started to build up because there was only one income since Papa had left us. With all that Mama was facing, I still decided to rebel against her. During my second term semester in High School things took a drastic turn when I met a Man by the name of "Davon". On my way to fourth period there stood this tall,brown skinned, muscular, approximately 6"1' bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios "Wheeew🤤". I've never seen anything so tasty in all my life....Stuck by my thoughts and failure to walk, when he spoke to me I didn't even realize until my BestFriend nudge me by saying; "Sarah are you mute ?" Instantly snapping out my dreadful thoughts  I shuttered and said "hello". He had dreamy eyes, they wandered aimlessly over my body. Why did it feel like he was sending chills through my spine? Suddenly, there was a loud shout "LADIES MOVE ALONG". My BestFriend & I giggle and swiftly head for our class. Most times I started to lose focus, for there was no second that I didn't hear the voice of my Papa saying "Sarah,I love you". Another day has past by and each day we went along as if nothing never happen. I tried honestly I did! Hours flew by so quickly, after a moment of having dinner and watching movies it was time we all departed for bed. Prayers weren't something I said every day but it didn't mean that I never believe in God. I have never seen a ghost before but I was sure to have been seeing one now. In the midst I felt a presence so strong, it wasn't mean or angry. Cold and wet chills ran through my body, my hands started to sweat 💧 . Papa begun rubbing my hand on my head, Was I in Heaven ? 😱 my body felt so tired and exhausted, feeling so hopeless, with barely a voice to scream, I ran and ran in search of someone to help me. Until I came upon a path through the forest, winds howling and sounds of birds chirp softly in the midair. Closer and closer I came to a cabin it was getting bigger and bigger, soon it filled the sky above, was the moon falling? 😰 Then a humble voice whispered: " I'm always here with you". I woke up, panting & breathing heavily shouting "MAMA,MAMA, HELP ME" I couldn't see my door. Was I still dreaming? Then I felt my Mama arms wrap around me.
