As I mentioned earlier I was a light sleeper, so when someone came crashing into my shelter in the middle of the night I was wide awake with the closest weapon I could find, which happened to be a screwdriver. I crept down my small hallway in the main part of my shelter assuming my uwanted visitor was some drunk getting lost, or a thief looking for food. When I got to the end of the hall way and looked my kitchen was empty, though my door was completely gone. I was confused. This must be someone from out of town, cause all our males and females are so weak and scrawny they can barely carry themselves let alone rip a whole door off.

Unsettled by the strength of this visitor I continued on my search. That's when I heard wheezing and gasping from my guest bedroom. I slowly gathered the courage and stood at the doorway only to have a lamp thrown at me seconds later.

'Hey!' I yelped as I dodged to one side as the lamp shattered beside me. 'What did you do that for?' I said trying to calming my urge to stab this person with my screwdriver. ' Can you turn the light on' a males voice replied. So I did. And was faced with an unsusual sight.

There was a middle-aged man laying on the bed with blood and cuts all over him, ruining my nice sheets. He was wearing fancy green clothes and had shoulder length black hair that was matted with blood. On top of his head there was something I would probably describe as a crown or some peice of armour, it was gold with two horn like things sticking out of it, making look like an animal in my opinion.

While I was busy staring at the sight ahead of me this man started to cough blood. I woke up from my daze and rushed to his side. 'Oh god' I muttered, receiving a dirty looking from the man. 'Help me' he choked out before he went unconscious. So I did. I cleaned the wounds and stiched up all the deep cuts and gave him a heat pack because he was cold as ice. I also put oils around the room, because the gas was still around and he had probably gone through it to get here, and that was the best cure, not that it worked that well. After that I started to cook, not quite sure why I was being so generous to a stranger.

As I cooked I wondered how he got all those injuries. Our locals are peaceful people who despised violence, and it was a gas storm so none them would have been out anyway. We don't have any harmful creatures here either, and the ones that did probably couldn't live through the storm, if they were even out. I came to the conclusion that the man must have been injured outside of town and come to us for help to coincidently stumble into my shelter. Not that that made any sense.

I had finished cooking the meal and had put it on my eating table, going to check on the unconscious stranger. When I reached the bedroom he was no longer unconscious and was examing the stiches I had sewed in earlier. ' I suppose an apology and thank you is in order' the man said formally, making me raise an eyebrow. ' I reckon, now if you can walk come out otherwise I'll bring the meal to you' I said emotionessley, already walking out of the room.
