Thor and Loki left the next morning, Thor suffering a hangover. Before he left Loki did have a chat with Percy in private both coming out of the guest room with looks of comprehension on their faces. Percy and I bid Thor and and Loki farewell, Percy shaking their hands, and me receiving hugs, increasing my fondness of the two gods. As they left I wondered if Thor had explained my mental breakdown to Loki, I didn't give it much thought.
After the gods left I wondered what I should do. I didn't know Percy very well, I didn't really know him at all. I just stood on my verandah silently with Percy next to me wondering who would be the one to break the awkward silence. Thankfully it was Percy. 'So... I guess you don't know me very well, maybe we sould sit down and get to know each other a bit' he said, making me think of beginning of school introduction games, I nodded and gestured to the lounge chairs on the verandah. Both of us made our way to them and sat down on seperate ones.
Percy was to first to speak again, ' Well, I'm Percy Jay Nicholsin, originally from the Lower (area of land on this world), and my favourite colour's purple, I can play the harp, sing, swim and run, and have got a degree in English and Computer Science' He stated, then I relised it was my turn. 'That's cool, I'm Grace Lynn Charlie, I'm originally from the Border (also an area of land in this world), and my favourite colour is green, my hobbies are swimming, just like you, I can play the piano, do tennis, do shot-put, javeline and discus. I've got a degree in English and Computer Science, again the same as you, as well as a degree in Nursing and Arts.' I said snuggling down into the couch. 'Wow, your so talented' Percy said impressed. From there we continued to talk about our similarties, swimming, english, computers, and explained some of our differences, harps compared to pianos, running compared to tennis. That brought us all the way to dusk.
Then we made our way inside and I made my way to the kitchen with Percy following, not sure exactly why. 'You got any prerefences on what dinner should be' I asked Percy, he responded, 'Nah, all your meals are good, especially last nights dinner' he said grinning, then added 'Do you want help making dinner?' he asked. So I said 'Yes, could you please cut some of the vegetables into fine peices', wondering if he was actually capable of doing that,'Sure' he replied and made his way over to the cutting board.
Again we had another chat about life, getting to know each other a bit more. I was starting to like Percy, he was polite, kinda hot (not that I liked admitting that), he was educated and he was gentle, if that made sense. While the meal was cooking Percy and I went into my living room and sat on different couches. 'Wanna watch a movie?' I asked wanting to pass the time quicker. 'Okay, what do you want to watch' Percy replied giving me the choice. ' Well, I like to watch movies with lots of music in them, or murder mysteries' I said quietly, wondering how Percy was going to reply to that. 'Cool, why don't we watch a murder mystery then' he suggested bringing a smile onto my face. 'Okay' I said in a cheerful voice 'I've got these ones' I added showing him my dvd's as Percy came over and sat on my couch examining each one carefully. 'OoOoh I like this one' he said pointing at what was also my favourite 'good choice' I replied grinning, going over to put that one in the TV, then coming back and sitting next to Percy as he was still on my couch.
As we were watching the movie the oven timer went off and I excused myself as I went to check on the meal, seeing that it was cooked I placed it on the eating table, ducking back into the living room to ask 'Hey Percy, dinners ready, would you like to eat in the dining room or the living room?', he smiled then replied 'If it's alright with you maybe we could eat in the living room, this movie is so good'. I nodded in response, usually I hated eating in the living room, but I had made an exception for Percy and that was alright. I went to grab a table to put in the living room, then grabbed some cutlery and picked up the two meals making my way into the living room. Percy jumped when he saw me coming into the doorway, 'You should asked for my help' he said, stressed, jumping off the couch and grabbing the table off me, easily making his way over to our couch then placing it infront of it. Then came back to me, got our meals and cutlery while all that time I insisted that it was fine and he should just enjoy the movie. What a gentleman.
'Really Percy, it was fine, I could have carried that stuff to here, it wasn't that far' I said laughing as Percy scold me for not letting me help sooner. 'You could have accidently dropped the table on your foot, or stabbed yourself with the cutlery, or the meal could have burned you, I'm so sorry' he said apologising yet again. I smiled and just said 'Stop being a worry wart'. Percy looked hurt, so I added 'But thank you' and gave him a hug, him hugging be back. Maybe Loki was right, I think I liked the unreliable way.
