Chapter 6(John Ambrose)

Before I knew it John Ambrose 1 out of my many people that I sent I love letters too and really my best friend and biggest crush in middle school was standing in my house with flowers and a letter. Wait... that letter looks a lot like m-and then it hit me that's my letter I sent him in 7th grade. " Lara Jean Lara Jean!" Kitty was saying my name and I didn't even realize I was just standing there staring at him. " Hey LJ" John said and he stepped up too hug me and I hugged him back, he seemed fit and smelled really good but then I realized Peter, Ashley,James,Asher,and Charles were all staring at me confused and Peter more in shock. I quickly pulled away from the hug and said Guys this is " John Ambrose" an old friend from middle school. " Hey Peter" John says Peter just nods while Ashley goes to shake his hand along with Asher,Charles , and James. Immediately I feel upset why when everything is starting to get calm another thing pops up. I'm grateful John Ambrose is back I don't even know for sure what he's doing here but Peter knows what I once felt for John and that just complicates everything even more. John Ambrose answers the question we all want to know the answer too. " Kitty invited me" then I'm ANGRY she knows how Peter feels about John and she still invited him. I'm going to leave it alone for now since it's her birthday but tomorrow ITS ON!
The day goes by pretty slow soon everyone arrives and the parties officially started even Owen came and it was pretty fun other than the awkwardness of Peter and John Ambrose in the same room and they made it awkward bringing up random things like someone was forcing them to make conversation. Soon we opened presents cut the cake, sang and played games and the party was over. Everyone said their goodbyes and the only people left their were Peter, John ,Ash,James,Asher,and Charles and me of course. Kitty went with Dad and Trina to drop her friends off and then off to grandmas for another present which was cash and the period talk that grandma gives all song girls on their 13th birthday for some reason Margot and I both got are periods at 13 so we think Kitty will definitely get hers this year too. Soon we were all standing in the hallway until Dad walked in saying he forgot his cell phone. John then said he had to leave so we said our goodbyes and out the door he was. About a minute later John came back in and said " my car won't start" and then I have no idea why but dad said " you can just stay the night if you want we're basically already having a sleepover with the 5 of them anyways and it's late" and Peters face dropped while Johns lit up and I didn't know why till it hit me he doesn't  know me and Peter are together. Oh no what was I going to do was he thinking we were gonna talk about my letter? Does he still have feelings for me? Omg!
Soon after John told his roommates so they didn't worry it was final, he was staying the night. I could tell just by looking at Peter he was angry and upset because he for real had to go home because his mom wanted to spend sometime with him and that we leave me alone with 4 guys that Peter wasn't too fond of. I then walked next to Peter and we walked in the kitchen and I said " Peter it's okay it's just for a night" and Peters faces dropped for what felt like the tenth time today " yeah Lara Jean but you had feelings for him and it's pretty clear he likes you he showed up with flowers for YOU and your letter and another one addressed to you. Wait how did he know that I didn't even know that I saw my letter but that was it. He must of seen the confusion on my face because he said " I saw the other letter when he put it in his back pocket and it said Too LJ My One And Only. "Peter he's sleeping in the guest room will only see each other now and tomorrow morning for breakfast then he's gone and you can come to breakfast." and then Peter says " maybe I can just stay the night and tell my mom my car won't start." for real if he's that worried he might as well put a camera in my room and watch it all night. " No Peter you need too see your mom you haven't seen her in 2 months. Go it will be fine I promise" " I'll call you before I go to bed and tomorrow when I wake up and if John does try anything I will tell you but I think it's fine plus Ash and the other three are here" then Peters face falls AGAIN " I forget about them too. All of them get to see my girlfriend for a whole night and I just get a phone call. LJ please I just want to let them know you're mine and I'm yours" and might heart breaks "Peter You have nothing to worry about I promise now go before your mom gets worried and I love you so much" and Peters frowns but agrees "love you more Covey and if you need anything and I mean if just wake up and think of me call me okay? " okay bye my love" I say as Peter walks out but then pulls me and turns me around right in front of John Ambrose and kisses me passionately fueled with love and emotions that let me know he truly cares for me and as soon as we pull away we're both out of breath, Johns face drops like he just lost 1 million dollars and Peters smiles looks like he just won 1 million dollars. He looks at me and says " love you covey see you tomorrow" and I smile and say " love you more" and with that Peters gone. I feel bad for John because I could of just told him but I wasn't fixing to stop Peter from that Amazing kiss. We soon head up stairs and Evreyone goes to their guest room while I go to my room. We planned to get up and eat ice cream later but we wanted to rest for about an hour or two first. (skips and hour later) an hour later I wake up and realize we're going to eat ice cream in
an hour like we planned because we figured we'd be bored so I call Peter just to check up on him.

(PETERS POV)
I'm on my way home and thinking about that amazing kiss but the look On Sundance kids face when I showed him what's mine was priceless. I know Covey was probably cursing me but she didn't pull away and I didn't want to seem like a clingy jerk but I know he has feelings for her and I just can't lose her not again. I was a wreck when I lost her like a robot and when I saw her at the party and I knew had to get her back. I finally got the love of my life back and 4 new fucking people that are guys that are CLOSE to Covey show up like What the fuck? I trust Covey I do I just don't trust what they might try to get her to fall for them. I really love LJ and I know she loves me I just feel like I'm not good enough for her but she reassured me everything was okay and I believe and trust her fully. I arrive home and hug my mom and she says we're going out to eat tomorrow evening with Owen. I say okay goodnight love you and head to my bedroom. As soon as I get in there I pass out and wake up an hour later to my phone ringing it's Covey...Yay!!!!
PK- Hey Covey
LJ- Hey my love what are you doing?
PK- I was dreaming about you. Wrud?
LJ- I just took a nap dreaming about you too. So we're going to get ice cream in about an hour wanna come?
PK- yea I'll head over now
LJ- Okay love you
PK-Love you more
Then the phone call ended I ran to the kitchen and told my mom I'm going out for about 2 hours. I plan on asking Covey if I can stay the night too just to be close to her and you know make sure Sundance kid don't try anything. So I go ahead and ask my mom if it's okay. She thinks for a moment and says be back around 11 tomorrow and be safe honey. I return a huge grin and say okay thanks. I make my way to the ice cream shop we're going too, close to the diner we love to eat at and LJ and her friends already have a booth ready. She greets me with a huge smile and everyone gives me wave and a small smile except for John he doesn't even look at me. It doesn't really bother me as long as he backs off of LJ then we're good. We all order LJ and I split a sundae since it was so gigantic and we didn't even finish it. We all sat around and talked and said our plans for when we come back from spring break. Then I get a text from Greg- Hey Bro party tonight wanna come? I think for a moment the realize I want to stay with LJ tonight so I quickly reply- With Covey now I'll come next one. Greg sends back a text within seconds- "Okay I see I see be safe bro😉🤫" and I just ignore it Greg will be Greg and plus idk if LJ is ready for that again. I mean we've done it more than once but it's been a year and I'm not gonna be ready till she's ready and I can wait as long as she needs me too. Soon we're all leaving and I hurry before I forgot to ask LJ if I can stay the night. " Hey LJ do you mind if I stay for the night it's not what you think I just want you" she turns around and eyes me like she knows the real reason but ignore it and say " yea that's fine" " now let's go it's cold" we then arrive at her house and everyone goes their separate ways and I follow LJ into her room she quickly says " No Peter you know my dad will not be happy about this" and I turn to her and give her my best puppy dog eyes and it works like always we then lay and cuddle all night and surprisingly her dad didn't come check on her tonight. The next morning I wake up and roll over to kiss my beautiful Covey good morning but she's not their. I get up and make my way down stairs and hear giggling and everyone is down their even Trina, Dr.Covey,and Kitty. Covey runs up to me and says " You're awake" and gives me a quick kiss. Then everyone helps out with finishing breakfast and then we all eat together and John Ambrose FINALLY leaves after saying his goodbyes and Ashley and The three other guys forgot their names make their way back to where ever they're going and me and LJ stand their and just look at each other and kiss. At this point No one and I mean no one is here they all left. Suddenly Covey starts tugging at my jeans and say " Woah woah Covey are you sure? I mean I want to I do but if you're not ready w" I can't even finish my sentence when she says "Peter I am ready I promise and I trust you and have never been more ready" and then I am for sure she's ready I carry her up stairs to her room and at first I was nervous she wasn't sure yet but she reassured me and that was all I needed.
