Y/n POV
"Get into your gym uniforms we're doing more training."
We took our cases and changed in the locker rooms. I walked with Bakugo outside where we met with the rest of the class.
"Today we will be going against your classmates. I've already picked your partners."
Looking towards the board we can see our pairs.
Aoyama vs Yaoyorozu
Ashido vs Mineta
Asui vs Midoriya
Iida vs Bakugo
Uraraka vs Hagakure
Y/n vs Todoroki
...and so on...
Well looks like I'm with Todoroki. We made quick eye contact before looking at the first battle.
Winner of the first was Momo. Then Ashido, Midoriya, Bakugo, and Uraraka. Before I knew it, it was my turn.
Todoroki and I walked to the field and waited to start.
"Go."
I immediately sent fear his way but after three seconds, it stopped. I glanced at dad to see him looking at me.
Oh, great. Todoroki sent ice my way which I avoided. He kept sending ice chunks after me.
Think y/n, think! What do I do!
I can try using another quirk? No, those are kind of useless right now. Wait, what about Reaper?
I thought back to Akita again as she's the only person I knew well.
I thought of her personality, her looks, her quirk, her death-
"Y/n?"
"Asaki?"
"You did it!"
"I'm kinda in the middle of a fight.. is their something you can do?"
She looked to Todoroki who now froze the floor I jumped up to avoid it but slipped once I hit the floor.
"Think harder, remember before and after I died. It might strengthen our bond." She quickly stated.
I immediately did so as he sent ice spikes at me. I closed my eyes and shield my face.
Nothing.
I opened my eyes to see dad and the class staring at me with their mouths agape.
"I believe it worked."
In front of me was Asaki with the ice spears going through her arms and torso. She smiled at me and turned back to our opponent.
The ground beneath us shook before a big part of it broke off and rose above us and shot at Todoroki. He tried to shoot ice at it to make it stop but to no avail.
The chunk of earth was getting closer but then, he was gone. I looked around to see him in my dads scarf who was now looking at Asaki wide eyed.
I lost focus and Asaki started glitching away. I sent her a quick thank you before she was completely gone.
