29- The War

Y/n POV

I hate Wednesday's. They're like Monday's but worse. Don't ask me why I hate Wednesday's I just do. I mean it didn't do anything wrong but whenever I think of it, it's just like....ew

Dad taught his class and I was just chilling in the back listening to music.

It was so loud I didn't hear my dad yelling my name. He ripped my earbuds out causing me to flinch. I wipped my head around to him to see we were the only ones in the classroom.

"Wha?"

"Y/n! Get your costume on, she's here!"

I scrambled to get up and sprinted down the hallway to the locker rooms. I got my costume on at lightning speed and met the rest of the class outside.

There, before us was mom with new villains beside her. Heroes gave 1-A orders to fight the newbies but I was going for mom.

She was in the center so I pushed passed villains, knowing she would have ordered them to leave me alone, and pushed to the center.

She would want to kill me herself. We have a wide battle field and the villain started spreading out which caused the heroes to as well.

"Two years and you shall no longer walk the Earth. Well I'm here to make my statement reality."

I growled and threw fear at her which was quickly blocked. I sent a right hook to her face which she blocked and kicked me in the side.

I stumbled a bit but quickly regained balance and caught the next kick she was sending my way and threw her behind me. She got back on her feat but I sent an uppercut to her chin and heard a satisfying crack.

She grinned at me and sent a fist to my face, I caught it but she kicked my legs out from under me and sat on me with her knees on my arms.

She took a knife from her boot and aimed it at me. No fair...

I summoned Asaki and she shoved mom off of me. I was quick to my feet as Asaki sent a tree at her. It hit her and sent her flying into the trees but she came back with only a few scratches.

She was suddenly engulfed in flames, darker than normal. I looked to my right and saw Dabi focused on my mom.

"Sorry I'm late, took me a bit to get passed the other villains."

Behind him the rest of the League of Villains entered. I was shocked to say the least. Dabi was have convinced them to help in return for their freedom. I nodded at him with a small smile and focused on the main issue.

Something flew out of the fire and struck my arm. The knife. I grasped my arm gasping at the pain.

She broke through the flames pissed off at her burned clothes and skin.

I summoned Junpei so he could hopefully help us.

"What do you want n- oh shit!"

He noticed the woman in front of us and immediately started shielding me from other knifes being thrown.

Furious, mom shoved past Junpei and her foot was met with my face. I fell to the ground as she held my face and slammed my head into the ground multiple times.

The sharp pain was beginning to make me loose focus but it soon stopped and I felt warmth. No not just warmth. Hot, too hot, burning hot.

My eyes shot open to see flames close to my body. I crawled out of there but instantly got extremely dizzy.

I bent down like I was about to throw up but nothing. I did, however feel something slide down my face, to my nose, and drip, drip, drip.

I opened my eyes and was met with a puddle slowly forming. I touched the side of my head and looked at my hand. Caked with blood.

I wiped it on my leg and looked toward the fight. She broke free of the fire and turned to me. I looked around and saw the discarded knife from earlier with my blood still on the blade.

I picked it up and turned to her.

I screamed a blood curdling war cry and ran towards her with the knife in my clutch, aimed at her heart.

I went to shove it into her chest but she took my arm and my shoulder, twisting the knife at myself as I ran into her.

It was silent for a heartbeat.

I couldn't do anything. I couldn't move. I stared at her with wide eyes and she stared back.

She dropped my hand and let go of my shoulder, causing me to drop to the floor. A ghost of a smile was present on her face as she walked away and left me.

I was once again alone. I looked down to see the blade sticking out of my chest to see blood soaking my outfit and the ground.

I needed to find dad.. she will be after him next. I need to.. save him.

I brought my hand to the blade and realized it was crooked which meant she missed my heart.

I sighed in relief and decided to keep the blade in since taking it out would do more harm than good from the strange angle.

I decided to stand up and try to find dad. I managed to stand but each step hurt like a bitch.

After what felt like centuries of searching I finally found dad but he was fighting mom. He looked seriously injured. His hero costume was desperately trying to stay together. He had a big cut on his forehead which would need some stitches.

He also has a blade sticking out of his shoulder and forearm. His movements were getting slower.

That's when his eyes glided to me and he was horrified with my condition. That split second of a distraction cost him as mom took the knife from his shoulder and plunged it back in.

He cried in agony as he made eye contact with me again. Then brought his hand to his mouth and let out a loud whistle.

Almost immediately dad wrapped his scarf around mom and Junpei jumped on top of her. She quickly threw him off but multiple, thick walls of Earth quickly started forming around them.

I looked to Asaki who avoided eye contact with me and kept doing what she was doing. Then it clicked.

"Dad, wait!"

"I'm sorry, y/n."

Before I could say much else, the walls completely covered them up. Blocking my sight of them.

"Hey! Stop!"

An ear-splitting BOOM echoed from the walls. Everyone clasped their hands over their ears and crushed their eyes shut.

The overwhelming smell of nitroglycerin filled the air as the walls went down. Someone clamped their hands over my eyes as the walls revealed the outcome of the blast.

I didn't fight them. I didn't want to look anyway. I knew they were..... that they are.. I can't even think of it as I spun around and was met with Kirishima holding back tears. I griped onto him like my life depended on it.

He kept his hand on my shoulders trying not to make my injuries worse and to keep me from turning around.

Why? Why did you leave me.. Why did you sacrifice yourself for me.....
