" Lea? " a deep, manly, but sweet voice woke me up. " Babes, gising na... "

I opened my eyes and saw my friends staring at me and Aga sitting beside me.

" What are you all doing here? " I asked nicely and held Aga's hand, which was resting idly beside me.

" Ikaw naman kasi eh! " Dawn lectured. " hindi tumitingin sa wire, " she said.

" Tapos ayaw pang magpadala sa ospital, " added Jodi.

" Ayaw pang magpatusok ng injection! " Richard mused.

" Tapos hindi pa kumakain " Vice said in a disappointed tone. " What do you think you're doing to yourself, Lea? "

" Ayaw pang patawagan ang boyfriend... " Richie added, which made Aga stare at me.

" Ikaw babes, wala kang sasabihin? " I asked sweetly. He shook his head.

" I love you babes, pwede na? " he said sweetly and leaned on my forehead. " I'm sorry, " bulong niya.

" Sorry din po, " sagot ko at pinisil yung ilong niya. " Pasensya na kung isip bata ang girlfriend mo, " at nginitian ko siya.

" That's the best thing about you babes, " sabi niya and kissed my nose. " Para akong bata pag kasama ka. "

Before we fall down the rabbit hole of sweetness, I gently pushed him away and turned to the people watching us. " Andyan pala kayo? " I asked, laughing.

" Hindi, wala, tara uwi na tayo! " yaya ni Vice kaya tumayo naman sila Dawn.

" Hey! don't you wanna be here with me? " tanong ko. Sinubukan kong umupo, pero pinigilan ako ni Aga.

" Para saan pa, Lei? Andyan na 'yung tatay mo, " Dawn teased, then pushed Vice and the rest of their friend group towards the door.

" Dawn! "

" You need to talk, " she said in a serious tone. " You can't avoid him, Lea. "

Mulling over what Dawn said, I became quiet for the next few minutes. I know Aga and I needed to talk, but where do we begin?

" Hey, are you okay? "

" Yeah... Okay lang... " I answered, absentmindedly. What if we just forget about the whole thing and move on?

Luckily, the only injury I had was my ankle, so I was allowed to go home a few hours later. Aga asked the doctor if he needed to carry me all the way to the car. The doctor laughed, then told him that the hospital had wheelchairs for that.

Once in the car, we were again enveloped by the quiet kind of awkwardness.
