After school, Adrien went straight home. Of course he used the term fairly loosely, the house he grew up in hadn't felt like home in years. In fact that feeling of home only resurfaced itself when he was with Marinette. That feeling had been exhilarating, like nothing else mattered as long as he was with her. Adrian feared though that he would never feel like that again.

When Marinette found out who he was, her reaction broke his heart, especially after finding out that she was Ladybug. He knew he had hurt them both, but he could only imagine how much pain he caused her when she lost both of him.

" I can't believe how much I've hurt her. Plagg, I've hurt the girl I love. Woah. I've never said that about Marinette before, but it's true. I love her even more than I did before. " As Adrien reached this conclusion, he also reached the gates of his house leaving Plagg unable to respond for the time being.

" Hello? " Adrien said as he walked through the giant oak doors. He looked around to see that no one was home, odd seeing as Nathalie had not informed him of this earlier this morning. His footsteps echoed loudly as he walked up the stairs to his room.

On the door of Adrien's room there was a note saying that there had been an emergency in one of his dad's offices that was in Hong Kong. No one else would be home for the next week. Good, a whole week without the tyrant.

"Come on out Plagg, no one is home." Adrien walked into his room.

"So you finally admit it, huh?" Plagg said snuggly.

"Admit what?"

"You have finally accepted the fact that you love Marinette. I have been waiting for this divine intervention since I found out who Ladybug was. Boy, you were truly clueless." Plagg said plainly.

"What do you mean by that?" He said, confused.

"Are you kidding me? Marinette absolutely loved you. Why do you think she ran out of the classroom yesterday? She was heartbroken over you for two whole years, for all she knew, you were dead. " He said it so knowingly that Adrien knew that every word was true.

" You're saying that the girl I loved, loved me too? So if I had asked Ladybug out for real, then she would have gone out with me? " Adrien was confused by this new revelation.

"No, she loved Adrien, she was devoted to loving Adrien. She couldn't love you because she loves, well, you. Marinette really did like Chat Noir, but her heart belonged to Adrien. Marinette got so nervous around you that your feelings for her were unable to develop past friendship. " Adrien had never had a conversation like this with Plagg. He had never expected him to talk to him like this, or to ever talk about his love life. This was a special moment between the two.

"Thank you, Plagg. This really is so incredible of you."

"You'll owe me for it, kid. Extra Camembert for a month." Plagg said please with himself.

"Of course. Thank you again."

"Be careful though, she might not feel like that anymore. Give her more time to cool down. Eventually though, you'll have to tell her the truth about why you left, and to be honest, I personally think you should be back to being Chat Noir after that. You've put her through so much already. You need to help her again. " Adrien nodded slightly knowing the truth behind the words. He did have to go back, but would she want him? She didn't seem too keen on him this morning.

Adrien decided he needed to explain himself to her sooner than later, so he decided to text Marinette.

A- Hey.

M- What do you need Agreste?

A- I think we need to talk, I need to explain a few things.

M- Fine, but not just yet, I'm not ready to just yet.

A- I will wait for as long as you need, as long as we talk eventually.

M- We will.

A- Thank you Marinette.

M- Just remember to keep your distance for now. Have a good night Adrien.

A- You too.

She would talk to him. That was a start. Adrien knew that she wouldn't forgive him so easily, but he needed her too. Adrien couldn't live his life without his lady. He knew that she didn't belong to him, but a lot of habits always die hard.
