Marinette had just gotten home from her time with Alya when she got a text.

She looked down to see who it was from. " Adrien? Can't that boy take a hint? " She didn't really want to respond to him, but she couldn't think of anything else to do.

After she and Adrien finished texting each other and she decided to watch a movie.

"Okay, Tikki, you pick a movie and I'll get the popcorn. Then we can just chill for the rest of the night. " Marinette said excitedly, she was ready to put the past few days behind her.

When Marinette got back, with popcorn in hand, Tikki had picked out The Lion King.

Tikki looked up, "Ready?"

"Ready!" Marinette replied

When they were halfway through the movie they reached the part where Nala finds Simba. It was giving her an odd sense of déjà vu. Nala finally had Simba back, but he didn't want to go back to his old life. The loss of his father was holding him back. Lucky Nala, she thought, at least Simba went back eventually. What could possibly be holding Adrien back? What was he hiding from her? There had to be something major. Knowing Adrien and Chat Noir he would have come back by now, if not for something that would put others in danger. So what was the danger of him coming back?

Marinette picked up the remote and pause the movie, " Tikki? What is Adrien keeping from me? Do you know why he left in the first place? "

"I honestly have no clue Marinette. It could be a number of reasons, like someone might have been close to finding out who he was so we had to go on hiatus for a while, or he could have been in danger and wanted to keep you safe. Literally anything." Tikki said with a hint of sadness.

Marinette looked at her glumly, " I understand, it's just killing me not knowing. I think when we talk he'll tell me, he seemed pretty serious about needing to explain some stuff. I really hope he tells me why, then I can at least take his miraculous back and finally have a partner again. I mean they won't be Adrien, but it'll be nice to have someone. Maybe it could even be a girl, that might be nice. "Marinette side putting her hand on her cheek.

"Marinette? I think you just need to take your mind off of it. Let's finish the movie, 'kay?" She was trying her best to cheer up her wearer.

"M'kay." She hit play and they continued to watch The Lion King.

As Marinette watched, she slowly drifted off to sleep, again having a dream about Adrien and Chat Noir.

~The Next Morning~

Marinette woke up with a clear resolve. She would talk to Adrien tomorrow, but today, today would be just for her to take a mental break from all of this. She would work on some forgotten sewing projects and designs. maybe watch some movies, the day was hers to spend or waste.

First though, she had to text Adrien to tell him that they could meet up tomorrow.

M- Good morning Adrien.

A- Good morning Marinette!

Adrien clearly was excited that Marinette had initiated the conversation.

A- Have you picked the day we can meet up?

M- I have. How's tomorrow? I'd prefer we met up sooner rather than later. Is that good with you?

A- That's perfect! I was also thinking that we should meet up sooner rather than later.

M- Good, so I'll talk to you tomorrow.

A- Talk to you tomorrow, Princess.

Lucky for Adrien, Marinette had never been one to hold a grudge, or else he would be in deep trouble.

Adrien was beyond excited, he gets to talk to Marinette tomorrow.

"Plagg! She's going to talk to me tomorrow." Adrien said with more than enough enthusiasm to get Plagg's attention.

"Yeah? And what are you going to tell her?" He said with a side eye.

"Everything. I have to tell her everything."
