"Don't talk about that now, we can discuss this later. Are you back?"
"What do you mean?"
"Are you my partner or not?"
"No, I'm not." Adrien said simply.
"What?!"
"I'd put you in danger if I came back. I won't do that. I would never do that."
"Are you kidding me? You put me in danger by leaving me, with no notice might I add. Give me one good reason why you shouldn't come back. We're supposed to balance each other out. Yin and Yang. Creation and Destruction. You left me once, don't leave me again."
Suddenly there was a crash. Marinette looked away from Adrien to see a boulder had just hit the Ladybug and Chat Noir statue across the street.
"Fitting..." They both mumbled simultaneously.
"I have to go. Are you coming?" Marinette said sharply.
"I can't. You're better off without me."
Marinette huffed madly, "Fine, but don't bother sticking around. I don't want to see you when I get back. I can't stand to look at you anymore." She opened the hatch. "Tikki! It's time!" Tikki flew up to her as she called her transformation.
"Tikki. Spots on!"
In a flash of pink light, Ladybug was in front of him.
"Go, Adrien. And do not come back."
Ladybug turned around and swung towards the akuma while holding onto her yoyo.
"I am The Elemental. Air, earth, fire, and water follow my will!" The akumatized victim bellowed.
"Yeah? Well I'm Ladybug, and I have the power of creation on my side!" Ladybug yelled back as she landed on the other side of the park, farthest away from the monster.
He looked at Ladybug and laughed.
"You're so puny! Such a tiny girl could never defeat someone as powerful as The Elemental. Give me your miraculous, then Chat Noir will have no choice but to come out of hiding to save you!"
"Chat Noir isn't coming back!" Ladybug yelled, nearly choking on her words. "Paris will never see the likes of him again." She paused, "And neither will I." Ladybug said a little bit quieter.
"Nevermind that. I can still win your miraculous for Hawkmoth." The Elemental started lifting rocks from all over the park.
Trees started to be uprooted too, Ladybug had to dodge rocks and branches. At least he was bad at aiming. Water came up from the pipes of the fountain, flooding the park. All of a sudden Ladybug's feet started to sink into the ground, everything was happening so fast that she didn't quite process it at first. She pulled out her yoyo and hooked it to a nearby lamp post. It took a couple of seconds to get out.
At this point, as she swung herself to a nearby rooftop, Ladybug realized that nothing was happening. She looked over to The Elemental to see the faint shape of a butterfly over his face. Hawkmoth was talking to him.
Ladybug called on her Lucky Charm while he was distracted. A bandana fell into her hands. After a short pause she knew what to do.
Ladybug jumped over behind The Elemental, ready to execute the plan. It had only been a couple of seconds since she had pulled herself out of the ground, although it seemed longer, and as she jumped on The Elemental's back and blindfolded him he came out of his trance-like state.
"Why you! Get off of me! I can't see!" The akumatized victim screeched.
If he couldn't see he couldn't aim, which meant that he couldn't use his powers. She grabbed the simple ocean wave necklace off of him and jumped off his back. As she broke the necklace a black butterfly came out.
"Time to de-evilize!" She yelled. She performed her normal routine and fixed everything the akuma had messed up.
Ladybug helped the victim get home, then headed home herself.
"Spots off!" Ladybug said. She was now Marinette again. She checked her phone and realized that it was one in the morning. After the day Marinette had, she was ready for some well deserved sleep.
