Chapter seven: editing

Today is my first day back at highschool. It's the start of my junior year. "Here's your lunch and backpack" Mickey smiles handing them to me. "Remember if any of those little shits mess with you tell me and i'll rip out their teeth" he adds making me chuckle. "Thanks dad" he stops in his tracks and smiles. Ian comes down the stairs "Have a good first day princess don't forget to make Jax walk home with you"he says and I nod walking out the door and heading to the  school. I met up with Jax since he lived only a block away from me. "So are you ready for your first day?" he asks smiling at me "I'm not sure" I say "Well i'll introduce you to my friends" we walk up to the school and find a group of people. "Hey guys this is my friend y/n"he says and I wave. "y/n this is Ashlyn" she gives me a dirty look "Lilah" she smiles "Hi it's nice to meet you" she shakes my hand "Dylan" he waves at me "And this is Kyle" he winks at me. "So what class do you guys have first period?" I ask. "Spanish" Kyle and Lilah say "I have Chem" Jax says "AP lit" Ashlyn tries to flex. "I have Calculous" Dylan fake cries making me laugh. "What about you?" Dylan questions "Ap lit" Ashlyn face changes. "Ashlyn and you will get along she's super chill" Jax says "Yeah we'll be besties" she says. The bell rings and everyone leaves Ashlyn stops me "Listen here bitch I don't know who you think you are but I am going to be with Jax so stay out of my way" I just laughed "Are you serious? He isn't some prize he's an actual person and the last time I checked we weren't in a 90's love story so chill the fuck out." I snap at her leaving her stunned. I leave her looking for the classroom.

Mickey's pov

"She called me dad" I say to Ian hearing her call me that for the first time was the greatest feeling of all time. "Thanks dad" my daughter well soon to be daughter called me dad. "She did?" Ian was a little jealous but he was happy to hear that she called me dad. A few years ago I couldn't stand Yevgeny. I never would have thought I would be adopting a 16 year old and be married to the love of my life. I never thought I deserved to be happy I mean come on I used to be a fuckin pimp. I think that being married and becoming a family is changing me and for the better.

I had ap environmental with Dylan and than we all had lunch together. Today is going really well not only did I become close with Jax's friend group but I made a few friends of my own. I made an "enemy" not really because she's not really anything to me but she believes i'm taking Jax away. Whatever she can't ruin my day. "Y/N" Luke screams from behind me scaring me "Sorry but I saw a sign for auditions for the musical we HAVE to audition" he says "I don't know Luke" he cuts me off "We are auditioning and that is final" I laugh why not. "We can rehearse your monologue together" he says we walk to the sign up list and sign up a name catches my eye. Elliot Jacobs the guy Luke has been gushing over since his freshman year "Luke we aren't doing this just so you can flirt with Elliot is it? "he rolls his eyes "no" I give him a look "ok fine you caught me but bitch I hurt you sing quietly in class and I know you could be the lead role" I smile "I'll do this for you but you have to ask him out" he nods "deal". The final bell rings and I wait outside for Jax I see him walking towards me but he ducks down I turn around and see the guy who had been terrorizing my dads before with a gun pointed at me. "Those fags don't deserve a kid!" he points it at me and fires everyone scrambles I duck and he misses me. Everyone runs inside. A security guard tackles Terry as he tries to get out of the car. 

Police rush over with fire trucks and ambulances. I see Ian and I run up to him "Thank god you're ok" he says as he holds me. His tears hit my shoulder "I love you dad" I say hugging him tighter. Parents arrive and we hear a voice so familiar. "Ian. Rachel" Mickey pushes through the crowd of people looking for us. "Dad over here" Mickey rushes over and hugs the both of us. Mickey looks over to see his father sitting in a cop car. He balls his fist up and walks over. "YOU PIECE OF SHIT IF YOU EVER GO NEAR MY FAMILY AGAIN I'LL SLIT YOUR THROAT YOU HEAR ME"Mickey yells at Terry "FUCKING DISGRACEFUL FAG YOU'RE NOT A MILKOVICH YOU HEAR ME YOU ARE DEAD ONCE I GET OUT" He struggles with his hands cuffed behind his back. The cop gets in his car and drives off with Mickey's dad. "I'm so glad he missed. Im so sorry I wasn't here to protect you"he hugs me once more "It's ok it wasn't your fault. Your dad is a literal psyco not you. You don't have control over who your parents are I know that better than anyone" I say Mickey sigh then pulls me back into a hug.
