A slit in the Earth Appeared, It started as a crack in the air, but Curver did not know what could have cracked, the slit was in the sky, nothing around it. Curver quickly realized that it was the sky itself was cracked, it seemed that the universe had a split in it, He looked as the slit opened, it opened slowly until you could see though it, a dark purple swirling vortex, the opening got large enough for him to get in. That is what he did. He put his hand in, then his arm, before he knew it he was completely in this new world. It was dark, not much about it. Like a shadow of reality, It felt eary like someone was watching, he turned around to look at his portal, but it was gone. Curver panicked. He looked down to see a note card. “127 A” it read, nothing more. He walked in this voided space, for what seemed like days. Curver looked around the void then back at the card, he was curious what it ment. When he looked up the whole world changed. A hotel in the void, he rubbed his eyes,”I must be dreaming,” he thought but it was as real as this shadowed zone. He approached the apartments walking into the main office. A man was at the front desk. “Hello?” questioned Curver. The man responded “Why, hello young boy, what brings you here?” The oddly normal man questions. As Curver tried to explain a janitor aprotched the front desk. “Ted, we are out of toilet paper.” The janitor spoke in a raspy voice, seeming annoyed at the normal man, but the man responded nonetheless, “Check the storage closet--” The janitor left before he could finish his thought, “-- and the name is Tad.” he said under his breath. Tad explained, “Welcome to the space between worlds, though it does not have a name, some people refer to it as The Shadow Zone.” He explained that this is kind of the halfway point between worlds, “That is weird, usually people are transported here, in this building, I have no clue why you appeared in the outer edges?” he questioned to himself. Tad was a nice man, walking Curver to the second floor, as they walked they passed doors and gateways, each a different style and a different number. “Universe 56 A.” He said to himself, “Zombie apocalypse.” He seemed nonchalant about the whole ordeal. “127 A“ Tad said jestering to a normal looking door. “Here is your room.” Tad gave his goodbyes and was about to walk off. “Oh, and your key card, if you ever want to come back and see your good friend Tad Strange, or just to explore countless possibilities.” He left Curver alone infront of his room, He opened the door. It was another slit, another opening in the world. He walked though again, returning to the spot he came from. He looked around, no time has passed he thought to himself. The portal began to close, he knew he had to return one day.
