Chapter 10

(Parallel universe, set a few days after the day of the departed. Tv show, so Lloyd is with the ninja.)

Kai's p.o.v

We were coming from training out in the yard when a flash blinds us. Looking, we see a portal opening and a figure falling out. Lloyd gasps as we all see it's his counterpart. A second figure falls out, it's Morro. He dives at Lloyd, that's when it becomes known Lloyd's unconscious.

Morro gets to Lloyd's body, after a moment, phases into Lloyd and his eyes open. Morro twists in the air, a sphere of airjitzu forms and Morro lands. He looks up as the portal closes.

Looking at us, Morro walks inside, going to the living. We follow, watching as Morro lays Lloyd's body on the couch and phases out. He than curls around Lloyd's head, laying it on his belly.

Wu walks in, eyeing the two with a cocked brow. Lloyd takes that moment to shift, coming around and he sits up, coughing. Morro rubs his back, Lloyd looks at us. "We're not home anymore." He rasped. Morro moves, going down the hall and comes back with the first aid kit.

Opening Lloyd's gi, we stand shocked at the stitches running in a V on Lloyd's chest. "Zane needs to seriously consider removing these." Morro said. "He's letting them heal some more. Remember, I didn't grow in that container, all functions had been frozen. Meaning they didn't heal." Lloyd said as Morro removes the choker.

Dark bruises litter Lloyd's neck, you can see the finger prints. Lloyd was choked before coming here. Wu walks up to them, Lloyd goes wide eyed as Morro literally jumps in surprise. "Y'all look like you've seen a ghost. No offense, Morro." Jay said.

What should have made Lloyd laugh, brought a sad look to his face. Even Morro grows quiet. "Come on, that was funny." Cole says. Lloyd turns his head away, tears breeming his eyes.

Morro stops wrapping his neck, stands and pulls Lloyd in for a hug. Lloyd shoves hem away, tapes the wrap and leaves. Morro sighs, packing the kit and returns it. He comes back "What was that about." I ask.

Morro sighs heavily. "Its not my place, just know, it's only been five months and Lloyd has yet to open up. I'd tread lightly, and watch what y'all say around hem." Morro says, going to the window.

Lloyd's p.o.v

'Why, why here. In this time, this place. Why did this have to happen to me.' I think, sitting on a boulder. Footsteps come near, soft, a woman's. "Lloyd, son." I hear mom. Looking, I jump back as she's right there.

She chuckles, I flip out and run back inside. Morro gets in my path, I ram into hem. Morro takes the impact, falling, he wraps an arms around me. I struggle to get free, he wraps his legs around mine, trapping me effectively.

"Let go, Morro." I growl. Morro just locks his hands and feet together. I buck, wiggle, move in any way I can but I can't break free. I grow tired and give. "You done with your tantrum." Morro asked. "Let go." I say.

Morro just shakes his head "Not till you talk." He said. The other ninja, my counterpart, mom and Wu watch. "What's to talk about." I say, turning my head away.

"Fifty years ago. And the now." Morro said. It hits me what Morro wants. "No, I won't." I said. I'm up against the wall faster than I can think. Morro presses me into it.

"You need to let go. So long as you hold what happened inside....."

My anger boils, I snap "YOU TRY BEING IN SUSPENSION ANIMATION FOR FIFTY FUCKING YEARS." I roar.
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO GO TO SLEEP AND WAKE UP. FINDING OUT EVERYONE YOU KNEW IS EITHER DEAD OR OF OLD AGE. YOU KNOW NOTHING." I yell.
