When Morro asked me to marry hem, I knew instantly what my answer was. I just couldn't say it with my throat hurting.
Grabbing my tablet, I write the answer and turn to hem. 'Yes, a million yes'.' He grins from ear to ear, sliding the ring on my finger. He gets up, putting our foreheads together as his way of kissing me.
The days that follow, I start to recover. Than, one day, I dream. I'm in the departed realm. Walking the fields of flowers and grass, I see four people there. Skylar, Sammy (Kai showed me pictures) but the two that get me have me running to them.
Mom wraps her arms around me as I snuggle into the white dress she wares. She holds me close as Wu walks up. I pull away, hugging uncle as grandfather walks up, Morro with hem.
"I've brought you two here for you two are the new protectectors of Ninjago. But, I'll even take it farther. When you two return, the family you knew well restored." I look at grandfather.
Wu and Misako look at hem "Your serious, father." Wu says. "Yes, I am. You all will be brought back and restored to your youth. Now, Morro, Lloyd." Grandfather said.
We look at hem. "Do you accept the power I wish to bestow upon you both." Me and my new fiance look at each other. As one, we both bow in respect.
Grandfather touches our backs and eminence pain shoots through our backs. It's so bad, it floors us. I curl up, Morro covers me, hand laced in mine as after what feels like hours, is only fifteen minutes.
We stand, I look over myself when I jump back. Morro has a hand out, I see white in my vision. Looking, huge wings are spread out from my back. Same for Morro. Sadly, mine are way bigger. "Son." I look at mom.
Holy cow, I see why dad fell for mom. She beautiful.

"And me, nephew." I look at uncle, tears coming to my eyes.

"Been a while, master." Morro said, bowing. "And Lloyd." I turn to grandfather. "You still have to heal from the flu but, it will not be deadly. And, as for you two." Grandfather says, talking about me and Morro.
"I'm not gonna deny my eldest the chance to be a grandfather." Grandfather said. Morro takes my hand "We had been planning to adopt." He says. Grandfather smiles "You could, and have your own. Lloyd here is what's known as a reproducing male. Garmadon was and is still one. He too can gift a sibling to you, Lloyd."
I step back, hands cupping my belly. I can have a child. Morro smiles, kissing me. Grandfather waves his hand as I wave to mom and uncle.
Opening my eyes, I sit up in bed. Gracie is wagging her tail. She licks my cheek, curling up in my lap. Looking at the wings on my back, I fold them, tucking them close.
Laying back, Gracie curls on my chest and I smile. Looking at the ring, I can't help but smile.
Getting out in a weeks, Morro helps me walk into the monastery. The gang are shocked at the wings we bear but, after explaining all of it, they find them cool.
Sitting at the dinning room table, Zane is putting food out. Looking around, Kai raises his glass. It dawns on me the ninja waited for me to get out the hospital to have Christmas dinner.
"I'd like to toast. Fifty years we lost the one who bright us light. But, it's been a year and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Welcome back and welcome home, Lloyd." Kai said.
We cheers, than dig into the meal.
