Lloyd's p.o.v

Winter time has come to Ninjago. I've been awake for eleven months. I got out literally on Christmas day. Which is only two weeks away. I look up from the piece I'm working on as Zane walks in. He rolls up my sleeve, rubbing an alcoholic pad on my shoulder and stabs a needle into the muscle.

He empties the continents into my blood, typing over the jab. Why'd he do that. It's flu season so Zane gave me a flu shot. My immune system isn't up to par and I've caught three cases or bronchitis so far. If I catch the flu, I may be layed to rest beside mom and Wu.

I turn back to the sketch book and continue to draw. I grabbed a job as an illustrator for book covers or whatever an author needs.

A fee days go by, I spend it working on the book cover. One morning, I wake feeling groggy. Thinking it's from lack of sleep, I shake it off. Getting up, I'm dizzy like a motherfucker. Groaning, I decide to lay back down.

I don't realize I feel asleep again when a hand gently shakes my shoulder. Groaning, I turn my head, Kai stands there. He holds a plate of food. The flat of his hand rests on my forehead as I wheeze.

"I'm getting you an appointment with the hospital. Your burning up." He says. I go to protest, endding in a coughing fit. "Cole, call the hospital, tell them I'm bringing Lloyd." Kai calls. Morro runs in, Kai stops hem it the door.

Kai wraps me in a blanket, I barey my head, coughing hard. It sounds like whooping cough, it's wet, hard on the lungs and it hurts my throat. Coming to the hospital, I'm placed on a gurney and I know no more.

Beeping greets me as I open my eyes. Taking a deep breath, I lurch up in a whooping cough fit. A hand rubs my back as I cover my mouth.

It subsides, I look up at dad as he has a worried expression. "Flu." I rasp. "Afraid so, son. The shot Zane gave you has helped. But, your not in the clear." Dad says.

In the days that follow, I fluctuate between recovering and getting worse. Christmas eve rolls around and I'm the only patient in the hospital. Dad gave me my tablet to work on the illustrations I do. Turning in for the night, I'm unprepared for tomorrow.

Fingers combing my hair wake me. Morro in my vision. "Hey love." He says. I smile, closing my eyes. "Not a good day." He asks. I shake my head, wrenching at the headache that comes with it.

"Can you sit up, I have something the doctors let me bring." I nod, rolling to my back and sitting up. The guts are here, I wave but it's only halfhearted. Morro bends down and stands back up.

He sets a small German shepherd on the bed. It whines, coming to me. Smiling as it licks my cheeks, I feel a collar on it. Looking, I read the tag.

'Will you marry me.'

I read it three times before looking at the ninja. Kai nods to beside me where Morro is. I look and gasp as Morro is knelt down on one knee. A voilet box in hand, the ring adored by an emerald instead of a diamond.

"Lloyd Montgomery Garmadon, will you make me the happiest man alive and marry me."
